We need to create more jobs because the security crisis is fuelled by joblessness. Too many young Nigerians cannot find work. And too many of them are being drawn into crime, banditry, and the networks that are tearing our communities apart. If we create the jobs, raise the incomes, then we starve crime and banditry of recruits. Together, let's build a safer and more prosperous Nigeria.

Dear @WorldBankGroup How far with the $1.5bn loan our Govt is coming for? Are you still considering it? Nigerians do not need these loans. Mortgaging our future into the hands of a few old men that do not wish the country well.

I interacted with fellow ADC members at a Town Hall today in Abuja. It confirmed what I have heard in every conversation since this campaign began. Nigerians want jobs, lower prices, safer communities. And they want a leader who has actually delivered, and is ready to do it again. Every day, more ADC members, supporters, business leaders, and Nigerians across the country are joining this campaign.

A true gentleman. He has eased the burden of many people in Kaduna North. And on their behalf, as their Representative, I sincerely commend him. But no official announcement has been made yet CCO.
Chief 🇵🇸 智人@NWali_X

Kaka has really been a breath of fresh air for the APC, he's mobilized the Youth, engaged the women and even the elderly. The fact that Kaduna state APC decided to rig him out in favour of the underwhelming Sama'ila is worrying and disappointing!

A Leader Like Tambuwal. Today, I celebrate my friend and brother, H.E. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. Tambuwal had a free pass to contest for the Senate for another term and a great opportunity to position for the Senate leadership. But he chose not to contest for re-election. With this decision, he has made way for one of his followers to take his seat in the upper legislative chamber. In this same country where a serving governor is also running for the Senate, Tambuwal shows a great example, recognising that part of his duty as a leader is also to make way for those who have followed him and give them the opportunity to become leaders in their own right. Given his own relatively young age, this must be recognised as a huge sacrifice. Kudos to you, my brother. @AWTambuwal

If anything happens to Malam Elrufai in Tinubu’s custody, we know who to hold responsible, cos why are you denying him medical attention and common food? Do you want to kill him? What kind of nonsense politics is this?

Press Release: Our father, Mallam Nasir @elrufai, is still being held by the ICPC. Today, 15 May 2026, we witnessed two distinct yet equally serious attacks on his basic rights. First, his personal Doctor visited the ICPC at about 3pm to discuss the results of medical tests recently conducted on our father. Officials at the agency blocked the doctor from seeing him, claiming that written permission from the ICPC Chairman was required. This directly flouts a clear court order granting Mallam Nasir El‑Rufai unrestricted access to his doctors. Second, his wife, Aunty Aichatou, brought his evening meal at around 7pm as she normally does. ICPC personnel turned her away, saying they had orders not to permit food deliveries after 6:30pm. This arbitrary rule is no less offensive than blocking his right to medical care. These acts are an outright assault on the rule of law and a clear violation of our father's constitutional and human rights. No lawful detention justifies denying medical access or refusing basic family care based on an arbitrary curfew fixed by the ICPC. Shame on them as an institution. We demand that all his constitutional rights be fully respected. We will no longer accept this pattern of intimidation dressed up as protocol. The ICPC must abide by the very laws it claims to enforce. Signed Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai Member. Kaduna North Federal Constituency Chairman, Committee on Banking Regulations. May 15, 2026.

In 2020 at the height of the Covid 19 Lockdown, virtually all the governors in the country lockdown their states. But Seyi Makinde took a different path. He chose curfew. Restricting movement at specific times during the day. In his statement at the time he said “My own background is engineering and I kept saying to people that as an engineer, you take decisions that are based on logic and fact. It’s an uncharted territory. We kept on interacting with the experts to find out what are the facts emerging. “People have been saying have a total lockdown and then I have been asking them questions. What will be the benefits here? Are there alternative courses of action for us to take? “If you ask people not to come out, you lock down the market places, there are people that what they sell today – the profit from today’s activities is what they will eat tomorrow. There are plenty people like that within our environment. So, are there alternatives available to us? Can we do selective lockdown? That’s why I imposed the curfew, to say limit interactions.” In the famous words of Mr Peter Obi, Leadership without compassion is a disaster. Seyi Makinde showed compassion, he showed leadership. That’s why you cannot underestimate his ambition in 2027. OYO people will not see Seyi on the ballot and vote for the current disaster in Aso Rock. The same man that could not even step out of Jos airport to meet with victims. A man without empathy or compassion. No way. Oyo Kọ
