@danger0usdays I honestly think the Family of Blood arc was intended as a wake up. Everyone is pushing her down and undervaluing her because she isn't white, looking back through adults eyes it's like a mirror held to the screen inviting the viewer to reconsider their hangups

Rewatching Doctor Who from 9 to present, currently on Family of Blood. I remember being terrified of the scarecrows and the creepy family as a kid, but absolutely loving this episode at the same time. Still absolutely love it. Martha had some absolutely cracking episodes.

@danger0usdays Also, they gave us 1 episode of Donna, probably the best companion of the whole show, before giving us Martha in 2 of the most awkward episodes of the era. That wasn't fair on her now that I think about it

@danger0usdays I always thought Martha was one of the worst companions My last rewatch makes me wonder if it was because she was overshadowed by Tennant at his absolute peak and buried in the greatest 6 episode run any British series has ever had, how could anyone shine brighter than all that?
