@maxwave_ @czarnobialemlek most rape isn't like that. it's marital rape or coerced or statutory. if a 16 year old girl thinks that rape = being excruciatingly physically altered, they probably won't think her 24 year old boyfriend is raping her. rape has a meaning and it literally isn't just "bad".

@maxwave_ @czarnobialemlek sorry for feeling like rape doesn't just mean "feeling really violated". if you teach that rape is when your body has been permanently mutilated like it's something you can never separate yourself from, victims of less violent cases of rape aren't included in that.

@czarnobialemlek literal most obvious problem with this is that people aren't saying that it "felt like" that, they are saying it "is". if someone got actually mutilated (physically assaulted and left with permanent injury and deformation), that still wouldn't actually be rape.
