I just found out about this today. It sounds like the data gathered from these cameras will not supposed to be used unless it is apart of an investigation. I generally don’t care about those stuff because there are cameras everywhere already. It just wonder if they will use the data correctly.

After 5 years of EV ownership, it finally happened. My wife spent hours at a charger on a road trip yesterday, and we would not change a thing. What happened? She was attending a friend's funeral in Wichita Falls, TX. To get home more quickly, she stopped at a DC quick charger before the funeral. When leaving, she set the destination to Wichita Falls, TX, instead of home. The EV charged for a few minutes, then let her know she was ready to continue. She arrived in Wichita Falls, TX, with 10% energy. That place is a ghost town for EV charging. All chargers are at dealerships or available only to hotel guests. The next DC fast charger required 18% battery to reach, with a safety margin. Fortunately, the Hilton staff gave her permission to charge after I called the front desk. One spot was left when she arrived, so waiting was not an issue. But all chargers were running, so the charging rate was painfully slow. After about 2 hours, she finally had enough energy to continue. When she finally reached the DC charger, it took about 15 minutes to get more than enough juice to make it the rest of the way home. But here’s the thing: we have three EVs, charge at home, and, by conservative estimates, we have saved weeks of time and thousands of dollars with EV ownership. Can you get stuck at a charger for hours? Yes. Does it happen often? No. Would you rather spend weeks of time and thousands of dollars on ICE fueling and maintenance? We wouldn’t.

Bro... aren’t you like 50? Old AF and irrelevant. You spent 15+ years as a legacy auto salesman, until Tesla came along and made your whole dinosaur model obsolete. So you quit, moved to Austin, and turned yourself into a full-time Tesla "content" guy on the outside who now lives off the very tech you keep “testing” for clicks. This isn't the first time. There's a reason when Tesla launched unsupervised Robotaxi the first time in Austin, you were trying all day and night multiple days and couldn't get a ride while others easily did. The @Tesla team knows WTF you're trying to do. Then when you finally get in one, you decide it’s smart to reach from the backseat, yank the steering wheel multiple times (triggering the safety brakes, alerts, and support calls), unbuckle while it’s moving, and slap one of your own stickers on the car like it’s your personal playground... You violated multiple safety protocals, the team reviewed the footage, they cited property damage, and suspended you for a reason. I actually think your ban should be permanent, in fact. Then, you turn it into a pathetic clickbait video titled “I Got BANNED… So You Don’t Have To!” The Tesla team has poured years - literally over a decade of blood, sweat, and insane engineering hours - to make unsupervised Robotaxi safe and ready for millions. Sure I do crazy videos at times, but I NEVER put Tesla at risk. My eyes are always glued to the front when I’m recording, SUPERVISING, and it’s only my hand (many times my significant other's hand) with the camera moving to show what’s going on in the car. Tesla is tracking my every move - I would NEVER do the shit you did… intentionally trying to fuck shit up. Theres a BIG difference here. Your actions just gave ammo to the critics, it risks even tighter regulation rules, and slowing down the rollout the rest of us have been waiting for. This is exactly why long-term investors like me put their $ into this company 10+ years ago, for the autonomous future, for FSD, for Robotaxi - all while you were on the wrong side as a legacy auto salesman. And here you are putting that entire program at risk while disrespecting the Tesla team’s years of hard work. Teslanaires wannabe, get the fuck out of here. You’re lucky I got you exposure, you fool.

Josh West intentionally grabbed and pulled on the steering wheel of a Tesla Robotaxi during a ride to see what would happen. He did it multiple times from the backseat. The Robotaxi responded by braking, giving safety alerts, and contacting support. He also unbuckled his seatbelt while the vehicle was moving and, after the ride, put one of his own stickers on the Robotaxi. The Tesla team reviewed the trip, cited safety violations and property damage, and suspended his Robotaxi access. Then he turned around and made a video titled “I Got BANNED From The Tesla Robotaxi Network… So You Don’t Have To!” No… You didn’t do this “so we don’t have to.” Nobody needed you to grab the steering wheel of an unsupervised Robotaxi. Nobody needed you to intentionally trigger its safety systems. Nobody needed you to put your sticker on a vehicle that doesn’t belong to you. You did it for content. And this is exactly the kind of stupid shit that pisses me, many investors, and many hardworking employees on the Tesla team off. The @Tesla team has spent YEARS working their asses off to make unsupervised Robotaxis a reality. Engineers have dedicated countless hours to building, testing, and improving this technology while Tesla fights through regulatory scrutiny and proves the system can safely scale. Then a fool gets access and intentionally fucks with the vehicle for a YouTube video. Think about how selfish that is. Millions of people are waiting for this technology to expand. Tesla employees have spent years of their lives working to get it this far. The last thing the program needs is some attention seeker intentionally creating safety incidents for clicks. If you’re lucky enough to get access to a Tesla Robotaxi, respect the fucking technology, respect the vehicle, and respect the people who spent years building it. Sit down and buckle up. Keep your hands off the steering wheel. Don’t put or do shit on a car that isn’t yours. And enjoy the fucking ride. It really shouldn’t be that difficult. The Tesla team has worked too damn hard to get to this point for fools chasing YouTube views to jeopardize it for everyone else. Don’t be like this fool.

@alexmharbison I just got this Trailmanor hard shell pop-up camper. Not nearly as nice as an Airstream, but has minimal range loss. So far getting about 600wh/mi on the highway. So about 205 miles of possible range.

Cybertruck charging up next to my Airstream! 1 min to drop, 2 mins to hitch.. easy! Memorial weekend meant unhitching 3x at chargers, but usually, I’m rollin’ seamless.
