@movementcoachkm @LeahyPeterleahy What was wrong with Shane Walsh point? Excellent use of rules. Up to opposition to counter it! Push out and chances open up inside...more scores &more goal chances 2 point arc is crucial to bring defensive line out and make inside forward relevant option in slower attack too

@LeahyPeterleahy Ya , a good training ground move, but as they do in rugby, off first phase go for it, then reassess The freedom to make decisions on the pitch is what separates many of the best players When you have too many rules changed you don’t know what works

Brolly with the usual reactionary nonsense missing the point, so he can display some of his personal biases. I’m not entirely sure how much more players are “expressing” themselves. Good players have a bit more space, that’s undeniable (space I expect to close over the league and certainly in championship. I don’t see any particular creative or innovative play. And that may well come and be welcome. But let’s call this what it is, rules set up to increase the advantages of playing population & population. Most players have grown up in extremely controlled environments. That’s why we seem so content to accept autocracy across the world, we accept it because school, and in turn sport, has taught us to be “good little boys”. It’s very common to see more introvert or individual players discarded cos they “didn’t fit in” at development or representation levels. Rules are not going to improve that. It’s treating symptoms. Becoming better educating and practicing good management and coaching skills are the answer. Not more rules

👏FRC.Better spectacle & scoring illustrates that. All rules add to it. Lot of whining re: 12 v 11 with keeper...adds to scoring & forces defending team to push out. Most whining from managers w/out footballing keepers...find one! Extra load is an issue. .60 minute game? #GAA

@SmallerFishGAA Whinge, whinge, whinge...enjoyable game full of pace & skill. Keeper coming up leads to more scores, so don't see issue. Are we going to consign keepers to long kickout merchants? Biggest whingers are managers w/out footballing keepers...get looking cos don't see this changing

@conorsmurf ‘A majority of teachers and students were positive with regard to their experiences of CBAs.’ Not one teacher I know thinks this… not one… my two sons regarded them as a complete joke (as did their friends)… so who were they talking to?

@DanaErlich Anti-genocide is not anti-Israeli. People are people no matter where they are born & all should be treated fairly & judged by their actions. Ireland was horrified at the Oct 7th attacks, but to use it as an excuse for an ongoing genocidal regime is disingenuous.

Israel’s decision to close its embassy in Dublin was not taken lightly but follows an accumulation of anti-Israel initiatives & rhetoric by Ireland, including: Ireland’s unconditional recognition of a Palestinian state which was welcomed by Hamas; its attempt to redefine ‘Genocide’ to support the unfounded allegations against Israel in the ICJ; its support for politically motivated cases against Israeli leaders at the ICC; its actions to promote anti-Israel measures within the EU and intentions to promote domestic legislation that discriminates against Israel. In addition we have seen concerns about the increasing atmosphere of hostility toward Israelis, Zionism, & in some cases the Jewish community being dismissed rather than addressed. While we do not believe the majority of Irish people are comfortable with this anti-Israeli atmosphere, the current discourse in Ireland, regrettably, does not appear to allow space for a wider variety of views and voices. All the usuals are blowing their anti-israel trumpet tonight not because they have a victory, they haven't, because remember, Ireland didn't kick Israel out. Instead, Israel has decided to kick Ireland's ass, and it's a huge international embarrassment for the Irish government.

@seankeane77 @TheGhostSleepi1 Dev describes in this letter as a 'formal act of courtesy' on the 'death of a head of state'. Horrendously poor judgement on Dev's part given what was already known re: camps etc.

Of course what the Irish & the Swiss both have in common is that they were "neutral" during WW2. A reminder that the Swiss hoarded Nazi gold & the Irish President De Valera sent a letter of condolence to Germany upon hearing of Hitler's death.
