Girls’ football at Chiswick is thriving! With great numbers at training, students from all year groups are improving skills, teamwork, and confidence. Highlights last term include Year 9’s 9–1 Middlesex Cup win, Year 10’s strong cup progress, and Year 11 leading by example.

On Battle of Britain Day, let us recall the Polish contribution to the UK war effort in WWII: two Polish bomber squadrons (300 and 301) and two fighter squadrons (302 and the famous 303) fought alongside the RAF. In addition, 81 Polish pilots served in British units. As Winston Churchill said: “Never was so much owed by so many to so few.”

145 Polish fighter pilots flew for the @RoyalAirForce in the Battle of Britain. No 303 Polish Fighter Squadron entered the Battle of Britain, credited with 126 kills, and was rated the highest-scoring fighter squadron of the Battle of Britain. Winston Churchill said: "Never was so much owed by so many to so few". It is worth recalling the Polish contribution to the UK war effort in WW2.

Today is Battle of Britain Day, 85 years since the Luftwaffe’s massive 1940 assault on London with approximately 1000 - 1500 planes, with the RAF emerging victorious. Watch a stunning remastered film of the Spitfire girls, young heroines who helped built the iconic RAF Spitfire.
