Indian model Sarvam-105b is really really good
Sarvam AI has open-sourced two India-built reasoning models, Sarvam 30B and 105B, positioning them as globally competitive open models.
The big unlock is not just benchmark scores like 98.6 on Math500 for 105B or strong local deployment efficiency for 30B, but the full-stack story: in-house data, training, RL, tokenizer design, and inference optimization built for both frontier GPUs and consumer devices.

Our 30B and 105B models are now live on HuggingFace.
For us at Sarvam (and for us as a nation), this is a meaningful moment. We're now among the handful of companies/countries publishing large foundation models, and that's not a small thing. This is the first in what will be a series of releases as we keep pushing the frontier.
None of this happens without the models team. They put in a genuinely extraordinary amount of work to get here, and I'm really proud of them.

We shipped a bunch of features and quality of life improvements to Indus app. Here’s everything thats live.
✅ Dark mode
✅ Higher rate limits across web and app
✅ Available in more geographies. Folks in US, UK, Canada, Singapore and UAE can now try.
✅ Table scrolling in android is now much smoother
✅ Significantly improved context windows so longer chat experiences is better
✅ Improved performance on math and STEM related questions
✅ Fixed performance and heating issues on android
✅ Bugs, fixes and stability improvements.

The response to Indus has been incredible. People are using it across languages and asking questions that require depth, context, and real reasoning. We’ve been listening closely. A lot of what we’ve shipped comes directly from your feedback. Recent updates: 1. Indus is now available across the United States, Canada, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom on web. We will be live on Android and iOS within the next 2 days. 2. Dark mode is live on all platforms. Please update the app to experience it. 3. Stability and performance improvements across the stack. 4. Improved reasoning for math, logic, and science questions with more structured, step-by-step answers. 5. We’ve increased context windows and rate limits on Indus to support longer conversations. I got early access to the Indus Assistant by Sarvam AI - the experience was super cool.
Yesterday at the Delhi T3 Maharaja Lounge, I used the assistant for two fun tasks:
1. Convert my English words into Marathi script to introduce myself to someone
2. Get more information about the newly launched Air India Maharaja Lounge in the international terminal

My brother @VPhilkana just asked a tricky GRE quant question which he couldn’t solve, on Indus.
It gave the perfect answer with step wise solution, just the way CBSE curriculum taught us math. 🙌🏼

Tried the Indus App by @SarvamAI today — impressive experience. The LLM responses were sharp, context-aware, and thoughtfully structured, and the product design feels intuitive and user-friendly.
What excites me more is what it represents: a step toward India’s #SovereignAI — models built, trained, and aligned within India, on Indian languages, datasets, and governance frameworks.
As digital public infrastructure transformed payments and identity, sovereign AI could power secure, culturally rooted, multilingual intelligence at scale — from governance to MSMEs to education.
If tools like Indus are any indication, India isn’t just adopting AI — we’re building it. @pratykumar

@SarvamAI Hey team there is a bug in Indus app while running on android 16 with One UI 16. At first instance when opened the query at prompt is processed. If you switch to diff app & come back to use Indus again then query in prompt line doesn't processed but it disappears
