@thatdaffyduck Benedict Cumberbatch is a good actor and voice actor (see the Hobbit, Doctor Strange, etc.) but his voice is one of the worst parts of that movie, which is pretty sad

A lot of people tend to forget that often, it could just be poor voice direction. Illumination's Grinch is always the example I go to: "Benedict Cumberbatch as The Grinch" *sounds* perfect, but then you find out he insisted on doing a terrible American accent lol.
