@cailen Why have engineers build your actual product when you can have them build bad internal tooling that doesn't integrate with anything that you have to maintain forever?

Just met a company that vibe coded an entire CRM to avoid paying for HubSpot or SFDC over the last year. It’s now become a burden to maintain and missing key functionality / third-party interoperability as they scale… They’re now migrating to HubSpot. App layer is fine.

Our customers run killer teams across startups, agencies, recruiting, PC-MSOs, Multi-Entity businesses, Ecommerce brands and many more. 3/ New Hires - We’ll have 5 new full-time team members by the end of October. These are hires across accounting, sales and marketing. This is the fastest we've hired since we launched in 2023! All this growth has shifted us into a new gear. The team is locked in. Sometimes I think about the future, like when I’m 65 and I’ve been doing this a long time what kind of investor will I be? One thing I’ve learned from watching old boomers get clowned by FAANG and now MAG7 for basically 20 years without ever bothering to do the introspection required to admit they were wrong and update how they look at the world is that I don’t want to be that kind of investor.

Over time, I've realized that one of the things Apple has done over the past 4/5 years is to calm the markets by "leaking" the latest iPhone a couple days in advance. This way, any disappointment over the iPhones will be spread over a couple days and the stock won't drop 10/15% in one day. Genius move.
