$RKLB is the world’s only ‘hardware store’ for space. I’m sure you can think of a hardware store near you. Maybe it belongs to a chain, maybe it’s just a family run business. Hardware stores are ubiquitous. You can find them everywhere. But a hardware store for specialized space components hasn’t existed… until now. $RKLB is becoming just that during this new re-birth of the space industry; a one-stop shop for all your specialty space hardware needs. Sure there are other companies that make space-grade solar panels or star trackers, but few (if any) offer everything a satellite/spacecraft manufacturer would require as commercial off-the-shelf products. Solar panels, star trackers, reaction wheels, separation systems, satellite buses of various designs, software-defined radios, EO/IR sensor payloads, and flight & ground software are just some of what customers can buy from $RKLB today. No one else in the space industry offers a catalog of products to external customers that’s this comprehensive. The number of Rocket Lab’s Space Systems offerings will only continue to grow as well. While most companies vertically integrate and develop products for their own needs, $RKLB has developed/acquired its portfolio not only for itself, but for other space-focused businesses too. This has proven to be hugely beneficial as Space Systems currently makes up about two-thirds of the company’s revenue. Keep in mind, the number of space startups being founded each year is on the rise. More space companies = more customers for $RKLB. Exciting times ahead.
