@itschrisray Where and when did Murray confirm that KOPN is “reportedly” in talks with hyperscalers? Would love to see that

Wall Street is still sleeping on $KOPN. Their new Neural I/O platform announced last month is a breakthrough in chip-to-chip and rack-to-rack interconnect technology that can meaningfully change the way information is moved from place to place in data centers. Unlike traditional copper (which loses energy as heat over distance) or laser-based optics (which require significant power to drive), Kopin’s platform repurposes MicroLED pixels as bi-directional transceivers. They claim this uses considerably less power per bit than existing solutions. By using photons instead of electrons for chip-to-chip and rack-to-rack communication, they can achieve ultra-high bandwidth without the signal degradation seen in copper at high speeds. Oh, and the TAM here is MASSIVE. Estimates for the broader interconnect and optical networking market range from $70B to more than $130B. 🤯 For now, the $15M development order Kopin received will be used to build a prototype that will be ready by mid 2026 (just a few months). After that, they expect to begin production of this new MicroLED interconnect product by late 2026/early 2027. CEO, Michael Murray, has also confirmed that Kopin is already in talks with two of the “Big Five” (Google, Apple, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft) who are supposedly very interested in this technology. Kopin has signed NDAs with these companies, so they can’t disclose any more than that at this time. Note that Kopin does all their manufacturing in the U.S., making their products more appealing to companies seeking domestic producers over foreign ones. Right now, their market cap is just $765M. If they successfully disrupt the market for interconnect devices used in data centers (which I believe they can), the stock will experience a serious re-rating. Exciting times ahead for Kopin. Please don’t consider this financial advice!

@itschrisray I’m not sure I fully agree. I have an oldish car so replace value is lowish. Cur 6 month rate is ~$30/month. LMND offered me ~$40/m. Never had an accident. I have my home ins with LMND so would love to consolidate. LMND should offer a price match, I’d gladly show my current ins

It’s always amusing when people dismiss $LMND because they attempted to sign up for a car insurance policy and didn’t get as good a rate as was being offered by their current provider. That’s the point. Your current provider doesn’t accurately price risk because they don’t efficiently use the (little) data they’ve learned about you in the time you’ve interacted with their platform. They offer you a fairly generic quote, which you’ve ended up benefiting from, but they’ve failed to identify that you may be a slightly riskier driver than they’ve realized because their data about you has holes in it. Lemonade, an AI-first company, has significantly less holes, if any at all. Their AI brain factors data from millions of policies, considering significantly more customer touch points and characteristics than just age, sex, vehicle type, and address. Based on this more complete picture, Lemonade rewards the drivers that are least likely to file accident claims with the lowest rates. The drivers that are more likely to file claims, get a higher rate. If they choose to join Lemonade, then great. Lemonade is accurately accounting for their level of risk. If not, also great. That higher risk driver now goes to Lemonade’s competition that is underpricing how risky they are. In insurance, you can’t beat the competition without pricing risk more accurately than they are. Lemonade builds a customer base of responsible policy holders while sending less responsible ones back to the legacy insurers to erode their margins. This is only getting better as time goes on and Lemonade’s dataset grows. It’s also just one example of how Lemonade is using AI. Bullish $LMND.

@itschrisray I think it could be the start of people discovering this company. There is no sense in being bullish physical AI theme and not being UBER-bullish on $OUST, which is the central piece of all that.

$OUST reports Q1 2026 earnings after the close on Tuesday this week - May 5th. A big beat isn’t out of the question…👇
ppdd@usppdd

Ouster CEO Angus reaffirmed last night at the NVIDIA GTC special edition ROS By-the-Bay event that the company has shipped over 150k sensors. He last mentioned this on February 9, which implies that Q4 ’25 plus the first ~40 days of Q1 ’26 account for roughly 13k units. Since we know they shipped 8,100 sensors in Q4, that suggests about 5,000 sensors were shipped in the first 40 days of Q1. At this pace, they could ship approximately 11,250 sensors in Q1. Assuming total shipments of 11k units at a $4.8k ASP, that implies about $52.8M in Q1 revenue—well above the company’s guidance of $45M–$48M. ASP has not fallen below $5k since Q1 2023, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see some discounts on high-volume orders, such as Amazon Proteus robots. As long as gross margins remain in the 35%–40% range as guided, some pricing pressure is acceptable, especially if it reflects cost reductions from scaling. Now consider @Stereolabs3D. They generated $16M in revenue last year, with over 60% coming from the second half, per the CFO. This implies roughly $5M from the first half. Assuming 40% growth, we could expect around $7M from Stereolabs in the first half of this year, with approximately $2M attributable to the final seven weeks of Q1 and therefore contributing to consolidated Q1 results. This would suggest total Q1 revenue of around $54.8M when @ousterlidar reports in early May. Conservatively, $50M should be the floor. $OUST

@itschrisray I honestly don’t think anyone knows what @MiTknlg has planned for $KOPN. I started investing on the assumption that everyone was wrong on them around $1 a share and kept buying as it dipped into .71 a share as well as back up to 3.71! I will continue to invest!

🚨 $ONDS | The IDF has begun deploying Iron Drone Raider systems in Lebanon to combat Hezbollah’s extensive use of drones - especially those guided by fiber-optic cables. From the article: One military official told Haaretz that the IDF's existing counter-drone technology either cannot sufficiently address the threat, or that they "are not always sufficiently available." The Iron Drone's use of radar and kinetic interception methods are intended to counter the fiber optic drones' immunity to jamming. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the issue in a video released Sunday, saying Israel plans to invest 350 billion shekels ($118.9 billion) in weapons and domestically developed aircraft over the coming decade. "As for drones, a few weeks ago I ordered the establishment of a special project to counter the drone threat, and today I will be presented with a progress report," he said. "It will take time, but we are on it." Great find @bodoxstocks!

🚨 $ONDS connect the dots… 😮‍💨 „The Israeli military has begun deploying drones equipped with nets in an effort to intercept explosive-laden Hezbollah drones launched at IDF troops in Lebanon and northern Israel, Haaretz has learned.“ „…including technology that can be mounted on vehicles or carried by infantry to protect ground troops.“ „…preferable to have the ability to be operated while moving, provide warning on short notice, and immediately neutralize without the need to deploy infrastructure." „…requiring a system that can be rapidly deployed and reinforce the perimeter. A third scenario involves protecting fixed IDF posts and infrastructure.“
