@ImMeme0 These idiots think it’s a gotcha, but seem to forget that once precedent is set (if they even win) - it lays the framework for further legal action..

🚨BREAKING: Sinai Law, the leading eviction firm in Los Angeles County, is now providing pro bono services to the Tongva Tribe to remove Billie Eilish from her $14 million LA home, claiming that her admission of living on stolen land gives the tribe a legal right to the property.
“Eilish's admission that she lives on stolen land gives the tribe a rightful action for possession as the true owner of the property.
The 30-day notice is already written and ready to be served.”

@WallStreetApes Obama will be catching strays for the next hundred years - Reagan probably has the biggest impact on healthcare, even decades later - considering “competition” in industry inevitably leads to collusion and price fixing for critical goods and services
English

Barack Obama destroyed American healthcare
This woman is paying $634.59 per month for her family of 3. She just got her automatic renewal notice, her insurance payment will be $2,476.36 per month
She cancelled and her family will no longer have healthcare
“I'm pissed off — I had to cancel my f*cking health insurance”
English

@grok @patrickmcavoy @chamath So - this person would be in their mid thirties? And your answer isn’t taking to account inflation of housing prices in the future?
English

Current average monthly student loan repayment is about $300, based on $39,000 average debt over 10 years at 5% interest. In the proposed system, curbing subsidies could reduce tuition-driven debt by 40-50%, dropping average payments to ~$150-180. This $120-150 monthly difference, saved annually ($1,440-1,800), would build $26,500 for a 10% down payment on a median $265,000 2-bedroom home in roughly 15-18 years—far faster than under debt overhang, fostering real stakes without perpetual distortion.
English

@grok @patrickmcavoy @chamath How much is the average monthly loan repayment in the current system vs your proposed system? Using this difference, estimate how long it would take to build capital (through saving) to afford a 2-bedroom accommodation?
English

Phase out federal student loan guarantees and subsidies, forcing universities to price education competitively based on actual value and outcomes. This curbs tuition inflation—currently driven by easy credit—and slashes debt loads, freeing young people's earnings for tangible assets like homes or investments. Market alignment ensures sustainability: institutions succeed by delivering ROI, giving graduates real capitalist stakes without ongoing government distortion.
English

@EwanMacKenna How about not confounding things with a pointless tweet. This is and always has been, a money-making scheme to fill government collusion contractors’ pockets with Irish taxpayer money. The de-facto ruling class do not care about the ‘plebs’, just how they can get away with it.
English

Child raped miles away by their policy, immigration a disaster, homelessness and housing crippled, inflation destroying people... You know what we should do to show we care? Have a night out, as we get someone into a position with less power than an aisle manager in Super Valu.

@writestuff72 @chroma714 @Bubblebathgirl Unsure what state apparatus will form the line. So many tools used by the state these days, even paid bots.
English

@writestuff72 @chroma714 @Bubblebathgirl Nah, that’s too expensive and long term. Civil war be cheaper/quicker.
English

@paddymacc1 @HinterDee Because a lot of people have investments nowadays and the huge drops with no forewarning for the average Joe is not good (whereas people with advance knowledge can capitalise on the “unpredictability”) it’s smoke and mirrors to harvest more money to widen the gulf of wealth.
English

@HinterDee I'm not disputing any of that; I'm asking the question, why they say they hate him for what he did to the economy

@Teepee3971 @Doiregaa According to slaughtneil twitter there’s another point to Newbridge and it’s over 21-19

@ianmiles This is a low-IQ take. Addresses like this are unidirectional, there is no dialogue. Where is the politics without debate? It makes a statement to leave, that is a way of expressing your voice in that forum.
English

@Leibs_ @BarackObama You can’t paste those excerpts without discussing the sampling/controls/assumptions and outcomes of each individual study. Look into the impact of how Clickbait titles for research topics is becoming a problem (for peer review).

We have people in power making broad claims around certain drugs and autism that have been continuously disproven. The degree to which those comments can undermine public health, do harm to women who are pregnant, create anxiety for parents who do have children who are autistic – is violence against the truth.
English

@VladTheInflator Trickle down economics is to blame. Magz Thatcher (aka Iron Tits) and Ronnie Reagan (aka Mr Plastic TV) ruined western economy by establishing the biggest pyramid scheme ever devised in modern history (aka privatisation of public services).

Summarizing what is happening in the United States and why they're lying to you about it:
1. Economic Squeeze on the Native-Born
Tax & transfer burden: Workers pay more in payroll taxes, property taxes, and hidden inflation (especially after the 1970s when real wages stagnated).
Rising costs: Housing, healthcare, childcare, and education all rose faster than wages.
Result: Family formation falls → fertility drops → native-born population stops replacing itself.
This isn’t just about “taxation” but about the overall extraction of surplus from workers while capital (corporate profits, asset owners) captured most growth.
2. Demographic Gap & Immigration
With fertility below replacement, the government has two options:
Relieve the squeeze (lower taxes on labor, cut costs of housing/healthcare, redistribute).
Import workers to keep the labor force and tax base from collapsing.
They chose #2, because it preserves the status quo of high asset values and corporate margins without having to stop the theft.
Immigration thus becomes a policy patch for a broken wage–cost structure.
3. Narrative Management
A society where workers feel dispossessed, can’t afford families, and see outsiders brought in to fill the gap is ripe for backlash.
That’s where slogans like “diversity is our strength” come in. They’re not empirical claims about how America became powerful. They are propaganda tools:
• To keep fragmented groups from uniting against elites.
• To reframe a structural necessity (immigration) as a moral good.
• To deflect from the economic root (workers being squeezed).
It’s the same function as corporate “DEI” programs, a way to channel frustration into identity politics instead of class solidarity.

@JamesKavanagh_ I feel he is doing the heavy lifting in this arrangement

@stepfanie @grok the person making this post doesn’t seem like a real person, can you confirm?
English

@Purpleman_eth @dyonisos_dance @bringbacklogic_ @WallStreetApes The wool is getting heavier, so it’s harder to lift these days.
English

@ConorDiamond @dyonisos_dance @bringbacklogic_ @WallStreetApes Sadly, based on the replies i have had asking for more data, the graphic is doing a good job in terms of its intended purpose.
English

Matt Walsh went over black and white crime statistics and the results are actually insane
“By raw numbers — that makes black males in America more dangerous than perhaps any other demographic in the the entire world, let alone in this country”
- Statistically, a white person is 30 times more likely to be killed by a black person than the other way around
- In 2019, there were about 560,000 violent interracial incidents between blacks and whites. 470,000 of them were black on white. That's 85%, 85%….
- 240 black people were killed by whites, 560 white people were killed by blacks
- This is all in spite of the fact that white people make up 60% of the population, blacks are 13%. Just by raw numbers, not even per capita, but raw numbers, there are more black interracial killers than white. That should be impossible.
There are 171 million more white people in the country, and yet there are more black interracial killers.
By raw numbers, the young black males in particular are an order of magnitude more violent and more likely to commit crimes than any other group in the country. Black men are five or 6% of the population. They commit the majority of murders in the country
That makes black males in America more dangerous than perhaps any other demographic inthe entire world, let alone in this country.”
English

@Purpleman_eth @dyonisos_dance @bringbacklogic_ @WallStreetApes The graphic was made to reinforce racial determinism-any attempts at making data driven conclusions are quashed in favour of populism-when populists get in power, information as currency devalues, at the hands of “sloganism” (I made this word up)
English

@dyonisos_dance @bringbacklogic_ @WallStreetApes I do seek the reason. We don’t know what the reason is yet so we need more data. We have to define the problem before we can solve it.
