@elonmusk Was on the autobahn recently driving through massive rain and I literally couldn't see anything. The rain was already incredibly intense, add to that the the cars in front spewing water all over, you could genuinely see nothing.

The human-perceived RGB is image 1 and the Tesla AI photon count reconstruction is image 2. This is why Tesla FSD can see so well at night or through extreme glare.

One problem in Europe is there's no political representation for people who just want freedom The right wing is pro-censorship and anti-privacy The left wing wants to make everything about climate change and degrowth and import the entire third world There's no sane pro-business pro-privacy anti-censorship sane-immigration parties
NXT EU@NXT4EU

This is how European political groups voted on Chat-Control. Green: Stopping Chat-Control Red: Allowing Chat-Control The difference was one vote.

@SimardPete @skumWgmi do both, one thing does not necessarily cancel out the other. its all about managing and balance. but thats boring so people always talk about one or the other. You can be smart with money, enjoy your life but also save and invest properly

@skumWgmi There's a balance between saving for tomorrow and actually living today that nobody talks about because "spend some of your money now" doesnt make a good financial guru headline.

My boomer uncle saved $1.2 million for retirement. - drove a 2003 Honda until it felt apart - packed his lunch everyday for 33 years - had a whole list of things he was going to do He died 2 weeks before retiring

It depends on the region and Asia is very different* But in the West generally the best hotels are the simple functional basic ones at $100 to $300/night High volume, no frills, things are basic but work I think because the West is structurally unable to provide high quality service in 2026 *Asia, UAE, Qatar still have modern luxury hotels where you pay $2,000/night and actually get amazing quality of hotel and service that's worth every dollar more I think
Harry Burman@HarryCantein

@levelsio Where do you think hotels max out on the value scale? Marriotts? Park Hyatts? Moxy's?

Just to get it straight. Donald Trump has: - threatened Canada (a NATO member) with invasion - threatened to occupy Greenland (part of Denmark, a NATO member) - announced several times that he wants to leave NATO - refused to support Ukraine, even though the United States gave security assurances to Ukraine in the Budapester Memorandum of 1994 - actively finances Putin‘s war against Ukraine by easing sanctions against Russia - denied that soldiers from European countries have ever supported the United States and thereby - spitting on the legacy of fallen European soldiers who supported U.S. operations - imposed witless tariffs on its allies - insulted the leaders of allied countries over the past months And now he wonders why not everyone comes running when he calls. The situation in the Strait of Hormuz is a mess for the whole world. But Donald Trump himself is responsible for this geopolitical chaos.

Many of my posts are supportive of China's economic transformation. Here's why. China has lifted more people out of poverty than the rest of the world put together in the past 50 years. China is leading global efforts to develop clean energy technology. China has higher life expectancy than the USA despite its income per capita being 1/6 of the USA. China has the world's largest high-speed rail network. China has provided the world with affordable consumer goods for decades now. I could go on... The point is, from an international development perspective, we should celebrate China's rise. We also need to call out Western leaders, pundits and media for their anti-China rhetoric — which has less to do with China and more to do with the fact that Western hegemony is being threatened. In recent years, China has done a lot more for global prosperity than the West. Am I saying that we should unequivocally celebrate China? Of course not. But in Western media, we are bombarded with critical takes on China every day. There is no need for me to repeat it. I've also grown tired of the caveats people in wealthy countries target at poorer countries when the latter do something good. The idea that the West is the ideal model to strive for is absolute rubbish. China is doing things differently, and they're being successful in many ways. We should celebrate that.

@mohitlaws It’s what happens when you piss off your allies by sticking tariffs on them and then threatening your allies like Denmark and Greenland. In the space of a year trump has destroyed all diplomatic relations. Fuck trump the expert in sucking Putin cock.
