Most AI orchestration platforms will have audit logs. That's useful. It's also not sufficient. Application logs live inside infrastructure controlled by the operator. Even append-only logs require trust if the operator manages them privately. A regulator, auditor, or counterparty asking for evidence of what an agent did is not going to accept logs you control as independent proof. The difference between observability and accountability is who can verify the record without asking the operator to vouch for it.
