Met with the @ConsumerCouncil today on rising home heating oil costs in NI - an issue @allianceparty is prioritising. Key advice: don’t panic buy, shop around, agree price & delivery upfront & use their Oil Price Checker. More advice on their website: consumercouncil.org.uk

Last Tuesday, we hosted our launch event for our draft 2026-32 Corporate Plan and 2026-27 Forward Work Programme. We welcomed a range of stakeholders to the Stormont Pavilion, who contributed to a valuable discussion on challenges facing consumers and the role of strong consumer representation. Since then, we have been to London where we engaged directly with organisations and policy stakeholders, sharing our proposed strategic priorities. Tomorrow, we head west to Derry/ Londonderry for our third consultation event, and we look forward to hearing from more of our stakeholders. Our public consultation for our draft Plan is running until 31 March 2026, and we want to hear from you. You can access the consultation and response at: bit.ly/4rllRBA

Not surprised in the slightest tbh. You were protected by the law of Bailment and should have asserted your rights. My daughter had to climb in via the boot in the rain to gain access to the car then after that I had to make this to gain access to drivers door via the boot.

@BelfastBooks @McCauslandACP @ConsumerCouncil @irishnewsbiz @BBCNolan @Hsenigov @BelTel @News_Letter @BBCNewsNI @AdviceNI @CitizensAdvice @U105radio I also had a terrible experience. Left my car in with a full tank of fuel.Came back to an empty fuel tank, all my saved radio stations were changed & the wall was ripped out of the side of my type. When challenged they denied the car was used. Never again & do not recommend them.
