ACs are still a luxury for the middle class, yet the government charges 18% GST. In a country where heatwaves are getting worse, these should be treated as basic necessities, not taxed above 5%. A fridge helps prevent food from spoiling. An AC helps people sleep, work, and function in extreme heat. These are not edge cases anymore.
