@HeatherMc1960 That is absolutely ridiculous. If that were you and I we'd be sitting in a cell right now waiting to be sentenced. We need to take back our government with logical thinking people, who need this sorted.

Having looked at the manifestos, we are drilling down a bit more into the constituencies and regions. We plan to list all the candidates and puzzle out current polling. We haven't canvased all the candidates, but thought this would be a great way for constituents - or candidates - to let our followers know where they stand. We will do a thread for each region. Please add any feed back/comments to the post relating to your constituency or region. We will share our experiences of candidates if relevant! We have mainly drawn on the polling from YouGov and More In Common as they have looked at the constituencies. Other polls are available, so feel free to point out any data we missed!

📢📢#Election Guide! 📢📢 We have been through the manifestos of the 6 largest parties & have come up with our guide. Tldr: @ScotTories & @ScottishLabour are way ahead of the pack! Also remember Ash, Fergus & Jeremy who are standing as independents. forwomen.scot/24/04/2026/sco…

@HeatherMc1960 That's absolutely disgusting. It does seem to be a common theme amongst a certain demographic. They think they won't get caught, they'll always get caught.

100% of the Independence for Scotland Party ISP candidates fully support and will implement the Supreme Court ruling on the Equality Act, we will not copout and wait for guidance like others as that guidance is not required to have the LAW implemented. How many other parties can give that guarantee?

Of the Scottish people I will make a lot of noise in the Scottish parliament, I will put through bills either holding our own referendum or declaring independence. It's the only way forward. Vote Sean Davis + Carrick, Cumnock & Doon Valley Or South Scotland. #SeanDavis4Indy

So the UK government says no we are not giving you a referendum. So what is the choice for Scottish people who elected a Scottish nationalist majority. Sit back and wait for another election? If you vote for me on the 7th of May, and by the time I'm "sworn" in on behalf;

What happens when “gender identity” dominates the conversation - and biological sex is barely mentioned? Members of Women o’ Scotland attended last night’s LGBTQIA+ Glasgow hustings, featuring representatives from the Greens, Labour, SNP and Lib Dems. Notably, the Conservatives did not send a representative, and Reform did not attend. Here’s what was said - and what wasn’t. 🧵

As a candidate for the Scottish parliament for this upcoming election I have signed the petition. My mother died within @AyrshireHospice September of last year. She got the palliative care she rightly deserved like everyone else. If elected I promise to make sure this happens.
Marie Curie@mariecurieuk

With the Scottish Parliament election less than a month away, we have an urgent message for politicians… 🚨 Terminally ill people are dying without proper end of life care. This is unacceptable. We urgently need a Right to Palliative Care in Scotland so everyone can be cared for and comfortable in their final weeks of life. Are you with us?

As a candidate for the Scottish parliament I promise I will never put the safety of women and girls in harm. Will always stand up for their rights. No men in women's prisons, toilets or changing areas. Women are adult human females. It will not be compromised.

@WomenOScotland I've been touting that on the doorsteps. And I'll continue to do so. I won't let my eldest daughter join the rainbows/guides because they are allowing "boys" into it now..

@ConventionLaird We completely agree — let’s get back to basics: no men in women’s toilets, a man cannot become a woman, and a woman is an adult human female. Full stop.

Unfortunately Holyrood has again not acted in line with the vast majority of this country. People want a compassionate choice for those who are terminally ill, and now there is none. Far too few meaningful bills make it through this Parliament. We must do better.

Allan petrie@Allanpetrie91·
Statement from Allan Petrie Over the past few days, I have received hundreds of phone calls, private messages and public messages of support from people right across the independence movement, I’ve heard from women’s rights campaigners, from those fighting to safeguard children, from carers and disability networks and from ordinary independence supporters who simply want honesty and integrity back in our movement, to every single one of you who reached out thank you. I have been overwhelmed by the support, the kindness and the sheer strength of feeling out there, your messages have reminded me that the fight for Scotland’s future does not belong to political careerists or party machines, it belongs to the people. My decision to initially stand down from the election was not taken lightly, I had helped build what began as an umbrella, a neutral home where all independence supporters form all and no party could come together, it was never about left or right politics, it was never about party tribalism, it was about Scotland. It was built on one simple principle, that an independent Scotland must be rooted in liberty, truth and the protection of the most vulnerable, that means safeguarding women’s rights, it means protecting children, it means standing up for those with disabilities and those who care for them every single day. An independent Scotland without those protections would be nothing more than a continuation of the same rotten political culture the same colonial system we are trying to escape. While building that movement I worked closely with Colette Walker, leader of the Independence for Scotland Party (ISP), we worked as a genuine team, putting country before party and people before political grift but what followed was betrayal, not a knife in the back, a knife straight through the heart and it didn’t just happen to me, it happened to many of the people who gave their time, their energy and their belief to build something better. The ISP itself was betrayed, Colette Walker organised the fundraising events that raised the vital money needed to fight this election, yet the candidates of the party who did that work were pushed down the lists to make room for “Johnny-come-lately” candidates, some of whom were publicly calling for SNP constituency votes only days before, that is not principle, that is not unity, that is political grift. For a moment, I stepped back but the response from all of you has changed that. When hundreds of people from across Scotland tell you the fight is not over you listen. I did not spend years fighting the unionists and challenging the political establishment just to step aside and let the grifters run the show. I will not sit quietly while the independence movement is hijacked by those who see it as a career ladder and I will not stand by while women’s rights and child safeguarding are treated as negotiable political tokens. So I have made my decision, I am putting my hat back in the ring. I will be standing as the Independence for Scotland Party candidate for the North East Scotland region, not for a title, not for a career but because the people of Scotland deserve honesty, courage and leadership that will not bend to political opportunists. To every genuine independence supporter who is sick of the political grift, this is the moment. If you believe Scotland deserves freedom, if you believe women’s rights must be protected, if you believe children must be safeguarded and if you believe politics should serve the people, not the other way round, then stand with the one party that has held firm to those principles from the start, not just in words but in actions, that party is the Independence for Scotland Party. This fight is far from over are you ready for the battle
ISP - Independence for Scotland Party@IndyScotParty

STATEMENT “ Alliances are built on trust and respect. When Liberate Scotland was first mooted as an umbrella party in 2025, one that stood for unity, where country was put before party, three groups [parties] answered the call. The Independence for Scotland Party was one of them. The idea was that we would work together for independence yet remain autonomous. Due to the Electoral Commission rules, this turned out not to be possible. They insisted that Liberate Scotland had to become a party in its own right. Eventually after a lot of interference, the Alliance to Liberate Scotland came into being early in February of this year. This was due in part through the hard work of two people, Allan Petrie and Colette Walker. For months, they had worked on a platform of mutual respect and democracy. Decisions that were made, involved all parties on board. However, once Liberate Scotland became a party in its own right and I4I ceased to exist, subtle changes began to appear in the way decisions were being made. Democracy within the Alliance started to stretch to the point where decisions regarding candidates and where they should stand were being made, not by the Alliance but by some in the Alliance party itself, with little or no consultation with the other stakeholders. We in the ISP feel that respect and democracy has now been lost, and without that, the unity we once had has also gone. Integrity in politics is the cornerstone of the ISP; we came into being to change the way politics is conducted. Honesty and transparency in the way we conduct ourselves is important. There can be no place for backroom deals where known names can usurp hard-working activists. For these reasons, the candidates from the ISP and its executive have unanimously decided to withdraw from the Alliance to Liberate Scotland and will now stand under its own name and banner.”

A question for Alba ex-members. What happened to Tasmina? She ran Alba for almost its entire existence but now it is as if she never existed. Jan - Tasmina resigns as Chair and disappears off Feb - Kenny says Alba is has been a victim of fraud and has to fold! It makes no sense

I support reform of Scotland’s agricultural payments so they restore healthy river catchments, reduce flood risk and enable responsible coexistence with beavers. Healthy rivers and wetlands are essential for climate resilience, wildlife and rural communities
