@Convert3D This was just to see if it works but I won't pursue it because using LAS limits what I can do. It would also cause confusion about whether it's a LAS with an Octree or not. But I'm still working on putting all point data into a single file, plus 2 files for metadata.

Fun experiment: Streaming octree data straight out of a single LAS file into Potree. Since it's also a valid LAS file, you can open the same file in other applications such as Cloud Compare or LAStools. Demo: bit.ly/2x9fUme
