Agree! I took the at home Viome test and they made probiotics/prebiotics and supplements that were made just for my situation. I had low stomach acid, had to take betaine hcl every time I ate. Within days of getting the right things in my body, I no longer had to take the betaine. I only eat organic (well as much as is possible) and eating healthy is definitely not the only thing you need to do.

I always focus on food first, but supplements are absolutely necessary to heal chronic health issues If you have SIBO, "eating clean" isn't going to wipe out bacterial overgrowth in your small intestine. You need antibacterial herbs like oregano oil, berberine, allicin. If you're magnesium deficient (and most people are), good luck correcting it through diet alone. The soil our food is grown in has been depleted for decades. If your bile flow is sluggish and you're not breaking down fats properly, no amount of avocado is going to fix that. TUDCA exists for a reason. A lot of people try supplements and say "this didn't do anything" because they're guessing. Buying whatever they saw on a podcast or in someone's Instagram story and hoping it works. That doesn't mean the supplements weren't effective, it's just that they were shooting in the dark. Run the labs. Look at your GI-MAP, your bloodwork. Find out what's actually going on, what's overgrown, what's not functioning. Then supplement wisely. That's the difference between wasting money on random supplements and truly healing!
