I'm not encouraging anyone not to wear condoms. I am saying that it is vanishingly rare to contract HIV from unprotected vaginal sex.

HIV transmission occurs when an infected male engages in anal sex with a passive partner, male or female. Like masking when you're healthy, it makes no sense for me as a heterosexual man to wear condoms from fear of HIV.

@TaylorLorenz @FedPoasting Contracting HIV through vaginal sex is pretty much nonexistent so yes it is quite silly to wear condoms for that reason. HIV is a problem in the gay community. A half century on from the AIDS crisis, we should be able to openly discuss this.
