April 2023 was the 9th coldest April on record in Grand Forks, the 12th coldest in Bismarck and the 15th coldest in Fargo. Grand Forks and Fargo were colder last April than this year, with Bismarck tying last year. Two miserable Aprils in a row in other words. #ndwx

This April has been a continuation of Aprils much of the 21st Century. In North Dakota there is a significant trend for cooler Aprils since the start of this century. Eventually, better Aprils will return, but this month will only add to the negative trend in recent years.
