University of Houston baseball coach Todd Whitting expects he'll meet with AD Eddie Nunez soon, possibly as early as today, as his future is decided. Whitting to @PaperCityMag on if he's thought that this could be it, that this game could have been his last as UH's coach: "Till I'm not the head baseball coach here, I am. I love this university. I love the people in it. "Those guys on the field. The coaching staff. All those people sitting up in the stands. It's a great place. It's a great university. It has great leadership. I look forward to seeing what's ahead at the University of Houston."

Houston ends the season with 8-3 loss to No. 22 Arizona State. An announcement on future of baseball coach Todd Whitting could come as early as Sunday, according to sources. His current contract expires in June.

It was a lot of fun to bring everyone game-by-game coverage of the University of Houston’s baseball program here @CoogsOnState this season. The way the season unfolded was far from what this program wanted or expected, but this program still put together some amazing wins that will be memorable for a lifetime. Unfortunately, it has now been 8 years since Houston last played in the NCAA Tournament. There are more questions to be asked about this baseball program that have surfaced as a result of this season, and hopefully there’s a path for this Athletic Department to follow that will lead to bringing this Baseball program back to national prominence once again. #GoCoogs #Big12 #D1Baseball
