The 2025-26 NBA regular season is officially over after today 🚨
Let’s look back at what a wild year it was:
• The NBA still has no idea how to stop tanking, and it’s gotten to the worst place it’s ever been. The Wizards, Nets, Pacers, Kings, and Jazz were all historically bad this season.
• Chauncey Billups and Terry Rozier got federally indicted in an illegal sports betting investigation and were placed on indefinite leave.
• The Clippers were under investigation for salary cap circumvention and parted ways with Chris Paul mid-season.
• Bam Adebayo dropped 83 points against the Wizards to pass Kobe Bryant for the second-highest scoring game in NBA history. Still can’t believe this was real.
• KD allegedly created a burner account to trash his own Rockets teammates including Alperen Sengun and Jabari Smith Jr. and the Rockets have never been the same since
• OKC is 64-17, and SGA is on the verge of back-to-back MVP awards. They also became the villains of the NBA.
• The Wembanyama breakout year: He is a virtual lock for DPOY and had a legitimate MVP case despite playing limited minutes all year long
• The Spurs jumped from the bottom of the league at 34 wins to 59 wins and are heading into the playoffs as a legitimate title contender.
• Tatum tore his Achilles, and the Celtics STILL finished as a top 2 seed in the East
• The Pistons went from the league’s worst record two years ago to the 1 seed in the East. Cade Cunningham was in MVP talks for more than half the year. (Shoutout Dannis Jenkins)
• The Hornets were a disaster early in the season and looked like another lottery team. Then they went on one of the biggest mid-year turnarounds in the NBA behind LaMelo, Brandon Miller, and Kon Knueppel. They are a legitimate playoff threat now and are building something special for the future.
• The Knicks won the NBA Cup.
• Luka had an MVP campaign going and then suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain in a 43-point blowout loss to OKC right at the finish line.
• The Wizards traded for Anthony Davis and Trae Young
• Cooper Flagg vs Kon Knueppel had one of the closest Rookie of the Year races in recent memory.
• NBC Sports returned to NBA coverage for the first time since 2001-02.
• LeBron James, at 40 years old, is still in the playoffs.
• There is supposedly a legitimate plan for expansion of the league to Las Vegas and Seattle.
This season was INSANE.
What did I miss? 👇
The Phillies and Rays have emerged as potential suitors for right-hander Jacob deGrom, per sources. Rangers and Mets are still in. Rays officials believe they have an outside shot at deGrom but think location and roster construction should be an aid to their pursuit.
@BelloAces I was saying it the entire night. If you guys can capitalize on those red zone opportunities, you can have a rlly fuckin sick season. I like what Miami has done so far. Just have to come through when it matters.
@BelloAces LOL. Honestly he was rlly good for us. Especially last season. You are gonna have to deal with some growing pains in the beginning but it’ll work out. I rlly liked him.
@BelloAces Oh no I understand. My boys go to the U, every time I’ve visited them and gone to a game they lose Lmfao. I have nothing against Miami. I wanted you guys to win last night, I thought you could/should have.
@BelloAces “More talented roster” doesn’t mean anything. Wins and Losses do. Miami isn’t competing for anything, did you not watch the game last night? Teams like Pitt are even gonna be able to kick your ass.
@BelloAces 4th most talented team in the country got wiped by A & M lmfao. Let me remind you A & M lost to App state last week, to say miami is a contender for anything this year is comical.
