As someone who wants Marathon to succeed, I’m sad. I feel like the Alpha was a pretty big fail. * The code rollouts were messy, and nowhere near enough were given out. * A lot of people liked it, but very few had it click. Almost everyone was back on other games after a few days. * Another extraction shooter came out during the Alpha that EVERYONE seemed to love. The base game is solid. The gunplay is fantastic. The potential is absolutely there. I still intend to try the game at launch and I hope Bungie has more tricks up their sleeves to make Marathon much more exciting that the Alpha showed. I’m not a Bungie shill, and I’m not a Marathon hater. I’m just breaking it down for y’all. That was a rough Alpha. What do you think?
