@rhunterh The Carlin-esque “everyone who drives slower than me is an idiot and everyone who drives faster than me is a maniac” is such a great way of thinking
English

@VizierPrime @buccocapital And he’s saying it in a copy/paste using AI-speak 🤣
English

@buccocapital AI doesn’t revert value to atoms.
It collapses unbounded cognition and re-anchors value to constraint-bearing systems: energy, compute, infrastructure, jurisdiction, liability.
This isn’t a return to the mean, it’s a new composition of power.

@ShitFund The about-face memo in peak COVID when he wrote about crypto and growth with lots of “learnings” from his son during lockdowns was the breaking point for HM for me
English

@buccocapital Agreed - people aren’t so locked in. I’m probably 70/30 GPT/Gemini at this point, from 100/0 about six months ago
English

Kids were acting crazy and we couldn’t get everyone in one photo. So I took three photos of us in groups and asked Gemini and ChatGPT to combine them into one photo
CharGPT completely butchered the job, but Gemini executed it perfectly
There’s an assumption that ChatGPT has won consumer, but I don’t think that’s a given. As use cases expand to image and video, Google has a real structural advantage and can take share
English

@buccocapital One of the best scenes of that entire series, hands down
And now versatile too 🙌🏼

@CuiBonoCapital @PopCrave This is, however, a goldmine post for “come for the headline, stay for the comments”

Sabrina Carpenter on her love of travel and new perspectives:
“You learn more about life in a 20-minute conversation with someone from Italy than in 20 years in the U.S.”

@Fat_Electrician Without consolidated, centralized gold, the US wouldn’t have had the leverage it did at Breton Woods, setting the stage for the post war dollar reserve currency system

FDR was a shit president and the closest America has ever come to a dictator.
-He was the only U.S. president to serve more than two terms and literally had to die in office to leave it. Term limits were literally added because of him. Previously, it was just a respected tradition.
-He authorized the internment of over 110,000 Japanese Americans, most of them U.S. citizens, stripping them of their rights and throwing them into concentration camps.
-He confiscated all privately held gold, criminalizing gold ownership and forcing Americans to sell it to the government at a fixed price. Then raised the price afterward, devaluing the dollar.
-When the Supreme Court struck down multiple New Deal programs as unconstitutional, he threatened to pack the Court by adding extra justices who would ok his policies.
-During the Great Depression, the Roosevelt administration paid farmers to destroy crops and slaughter livestock to artificially raise prices, even while millions were starving.
-He refused to support anti-lynching legislation, fearing it would alienate Southern Democrats. Despite repeated efforts by civil rights groups, he prioritized political alliances over human rights.

@jclarkson203 Sold in 2022 over cyclical concerns with rates rising. Didn’t have nerve to ever get back in naturally

Arr, matey! The seas be rough 'twixt Iran and Israel. Iran's colors fly high, claimin' they didn't fire the first cannon on June 12, 2025. Israel's "Nation of Lions" struck Tehran's shores, aimin' at nuclear ports, sayin' Iran's been brewin' trouble with their atomic grog and proxy crews like Hezbollah. Iran's captain swears they only readied their defenses, not attackin' first. The log shows Israel's strike hit first, but Iran's nuke ambitions and matey support stir the pot. Truth's murky as a stormy sea—both sides spin tales, and the full map ain't clear yet. Keep yer spyglass sharp for more!

@DadInvest This is my take about a majority of the cars on the road actually
English

@buccocapital And good ol Baupost
Personally though, I use ChatGPT for basically everything and my own google searching has been reduced to a bare minimum. I’m just one person of course, but it’s got the possibility of being a “Google killer” if people are just dialed into AI

@rhunterh If I call a friend, cold, it’s pretty much because I’ve got major news to share that needs a voice. Which is very rare. But yeah good observation👌🏼

@MonocleMan1 They didn’t tell me all four seasons would be able to be represented in a single week 😆
English

@Sarah_Katilyn Intentionally left those two unchanged until a few mins ago just so I could be reminded of reality as I went about the day
English

@Sarah_Katilyn I guess the Doge death of Nova real estate is greatly exaggerated
English

@Sarah_Katilyn You mean Gen X?
Yeah my bro was a 70s kid and has a teen son (still Gen Z? I don’t know)
I’m an 80s kid and have a mortgage rate aged kid (an “alpha” kid since it starts over)
English

@CoosBayCap I dunno...do they? Gen Z was born between 65-80 that seems kinda old for teenagers
English

Yall really don't need to worry about Gen Z, these kids are built so different. They learned from our Millenial mistakes and have filtered through all the bullshit. My son and his friends are focused on building businesses, compounding wealth, physical and mental fitness. They scoff at drugs and alcohol ("embarassing" and low quality). This generation is so elevated and I genuinely have hope for the future. At 16 I was snorting rails off a dirty countertop in some 30 year old dude's trailer on a random Tuesday and these kids are sitting around my kitchen table, eating breakfast, and discussing new branding for their landscape business. They just bought a 2nd truck for the new season (solely from profits). Incredible to witness.
