@Derangeddoomer @VinFurr I have a full suit. Partials are cool!!! And any suit can be stunning or not depending on preferences, but thats not an excuse for people to be rude. People who are rude like that are just dicks.

I've seen a few furries shame others for only having partial suits saying "it's ugly" and that it would be better if you had no suit at all. Are these just dickheads, or is this a common opinion? I don't have enough money for a full suit.

@EndeavorToDream I totally agree with you! I am very lucky to have some goofy dog friends that wanna do stuff like that, but cons never used to be so expensive to where I had to pick between the two, it used to be that you could do both! I also know that not everyone has the same income as me!

Maybe a hot take, but: I feel like furry going mainstream has so many more cons than pros. Big companies capitalizing off the fandom, big cons turning into money machines, con hotel rates skyrocketing, pornstars buying suits just to make money off of furries… It’s upsetting

@TheForgotFather @Lovandfear Had an important piece of paper I was holding while talking on a wired telephone. When I hung up, the paper was gone. It took me an entire hour to find out where it had gone. This has been a frequent occurrence.

I love people with ADHD because they never actually forget anything. You just have to say the right words to activate them like a sleeper cell and then they awaken with all of the knowledge on a very niche subject they studied for 3 months straight 6 years ago.

@FurryCairo @McGrewArt New cons start up, and alot of places have local meets. Increase in demand will eventually lead to higher supply

@McGrewArt My point was more about frequency than construction, though I get that a volunteer run event won’t have the same resources to put on a convention twice a year, but something’s got to give as demand seemingly outpaces capacity frequently - though commercialisation would be grim!

I’m new to the fandom but man it doesn’t seem sustainable if every mid-big size convention is like trying to buy concert tickets or sneaker drops. There’s gotta be a better way. There’s clearly the demand there - some cons could clearly support twice yearly like comic con
