I paid a plumbing company $4,400 to replace a sewer line under my garage, and now my garage floor looks like it lost a fight with a sidewalk 😭 They cut a huge section out of the concrete, repaired the pipe, and patched it back in with concrete that doesn’t even remotely match the original floor. Bullshit. The Pacific coast states have been shipping the homeless to the midwest for decades. They shipped at least 3 dozen to the town I lived in in SE OK shipped hundreds to our town where a Indian casino is located and always hiring and that was all it took for them to give them a bus ticket and a few hundred dollars. Of course they ended up destroying our library, set up tents and abandoned them and their piles of trash all over town. We had an OD in our backyard one day, a CA transplant sent to us by LA.

Nobody is “shipping” them anywhere dipshit. He is planning to offer them shelter and rehab, but if they refuse help and only want to stay stoned on the streets, they can hit the road. That’s much more compassionate than letting them wallow around stoned, in their own filth until they die on the fucking street.

The guy had just gotten off a bus down the street a few hours earlier. The city of LA paid for his ticket. After that I questioned many among the constant flow of apparently homeless folks in front of our home and found many of them had been bused here. I found an article in the Rolling Stone that laid out the process of West Coast cities shipping out their homeless population across the midwest.

After what the Thunder began with their strategy against Jokic in the playoffs last year, they need to just shut up and learn their lesson. The Thunder want to be a physical team, but they are cheap shot artists who turn into pussies when the opponent is allowed to play the physical with them.

First half is over, and the Thunder have 7 free throw attempts. Spurs have 17FTA. Castle and the Spurs are draped over Shai, hacking him, pulling his jersey, reaching in, getting in his landing space, tackling him every single possession… …and Shai has 2FTA. It’s a shame a game of this magnitude isn’t being called both ways. Tough enough for OKC to play without JDub and Ajay, but now they are playing against Scott Foster.

Every once in a while an old farmer would come to our rural school and ask if there were any students that could get out of class and go bring in his hay. 4-5 cents depending on how many were on the back of the truck. They never even called my parents to ask if it would be ok, just asked if I wanted to do it. Every time. 800 bales at 5 cents and you were set.

This farm owner has bales of pine straw made from Longleaf pine trees. Each of his employees make $1.50 for every bale they make. They usually do 200 bales a day. He says they average about 20 bales an hour. The farmer sells these bales for $5 each. Many other places are a lot more expensive people said. He says these kinds of trees are prominent all over the South and people use the straw for landscaping instead of mulch down there. Many people said that is too much hard labor and that they have machines that will do that. But the owner said the machine bales are not as good. The machines break a lot of the straw and machines include sticks and other things vs this hand picked straw. He said this old fashioned way is still used by a lot of independent farmers. $200 a day, $1,000 a week, is not bad money. Some make up to $1,500 a week working extra hours. He said his farm will produce about 20K bales of this straw. Do you think that is way too much work for $200-$300 a day? Or do you think that is an honest wage for an honest day’s work?
