@RoaringHammy I bought my house 4 years ago. In that time the estimated sale price is up 25%. If I had bought the right stocks maybe I could have beaten that, but it’s a lot closer to even where I live.

Stocks vs real estate, which asset class makes more money in your city/country? Real estate is usually boosted due to leverage but avg rate of return is usually higher for stocks. 🤔

@CoreyBlakexyz That’s reasonable, but at least some of that money could be working and producing returns. If he waits 10 more years, he may lose a lot. Crises will come for sure, but they’ve always ended in the past.

Can someone explain this? Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway currently holds $397B in cash. A year ago, it was ~$300B. If they had simply invested that into S&P 500 $VOO last year, they’d be ~$1B richer today. Have they stopped needing growth, or stopped trusting the US economy?

Two cycles ago, utility projects generated generational wealth. In the last cycle, meme coins took that role. For the upcoming cycle, which narrative do you think will create generational wealth?

@jeremyct I’d say everything about the system doesn’t add up, we’re getting squeezed to thin!

my son had a cavity recently. took him to the dentist and they ended up pulling the tooth. the visit cost $2400. insurance only covered $250, so we’re left paying $2,150. i’m already paying $612/month for family health and dental insurance. yeah… something about this system doesn’t add up.

Observation: AI hype seems to be fading. How long until it’s just another technology? I still don’t understand how you effectively monetize it to the point where you make money.

$60K a year just to live alone. That’s the baseline now. Not thrive. Not save. Just exist in your own space. And most people aren’t even close.
