@WatchMyReview I would say it is the worst at developing and not recognizing the worth of the players they’ve “developed”… which may be worse.

@CanadasLeafs @NHLPlayerSafety It’s really hard to ignore this department’s bias against the Maple Leafs at this point. Either repeat offender means something or it doesn’t. You can’t selectively pick when you can use it.

Prior to this suspension, Gudas was suspended 3 other times for 16 games. He isn’t a repeat offender, he is a serial offender. 34 suffered a season ending injury and there was clear intent. If that doesn’t warrant a 10 game suspension for Gudas it’s just silly. @NHLPlayerSafety

Asked Auston Matthews’ agent, Judd Moldaver about his response to the ruling. Here is his reply: “In light of the obvious severity of the play, I am disappointed and shocked the league would allow such a ruling. A phone hearing and 5 games is laughable and preposterous. While the process is set in our CBA, that this was the discipline is reckless and ridiculous. This decision results in a further loss of confidence in the disciplinary process for all players. Players and fans deserve better. The Player Safety Department should be suspended.”

As a leader in this team, if you are not the first one in, even if you don’t know the severity of Auston’s injury, then you cannot lead this team. It would send a message that leadership and accountability means something.

@NotLeafsNeedGod I don't say this as a joke, but the best way to do this properly is to keep the status quo. Berube and Tre in place until we lose the last game of the season. If you put anyone else behind the bench, these guys will start to win some games.

@WatchMyReview Totally agree. Look at Floridas 4th line that did so much damage last year. Leafs just can’t seem to find a consistent 4th line that just forechecks and hits hard. But Florida has that line every year with different bodies!

@CoreyJRussell I don't get why they can't play these guys. They move off of them without knowing what they have. And better teams are picking these players up and using them much more..

It's really sad that a contender in Tampa and 2-time cup winning coach in Cooper is using Holmberg (Who they got for free) as a top defensive forward and more than Leafs ever did and we gave him away and are using Auston Matthews in a similar role and robbing him of many goals. On top of that...we overpaid horribly for Scott Laughton and he could have been taking that role from Matthews but we didn't do that and had him rot on the 4th line... Think of the unnecessary assets we've blown just on this issue.
