Corey is the perfect example of trusting the process. He was thrust into the limelight at a really young age, passed around without much rhyme or reason and then a large portion of fans (from Trinity & other clubs…) wrote him off as a bad job. Powell and our staff have given Corey a purpose and goals to work towards with a promise of a starting position is he remains consistent. The main thing I’ve seen develop in Corey, is that he is becoming unflappable. The term ‘a confidence player’ is used a lot in Rugby League and I believe Corey was one of those. There’s nothing wrong with being a confidence player, it’s human nature - but the difference in Corey’s improvement this year is that he is very focussed on the here and now, the present and ‘the next thought mentality’ Dropped a ball? Okay what’s next Scored a try? Okay what’s next Lose a game? Okay what’s next Win a game? Okay what’s next Questions were asked about the recruitment of Corey at the start of 2025 but by the start of 2026, he will be one of the first names on the team sheet. …and in my opinion, he’s a smokey for the England squad in the Rugby League World Cup 2026. 23 today, incredible career ahead ⚜️ Happy Birthday Corey #UpTheTrin
