Regarding the upcoming State Of The Union, Democrats should not go. Find a public square that you can all go to deliver the response. Don't worry about normalcy or institutions, the current President has already broken all of that. The only thing that you should be worried about is not normalizing what he is doing to America.

Every member of Congress — Republican and Democrat, House and Senate — should hold a live, in-person town hall in their district this week. Given what is happening in the country and around the world right now, we should have a chance to hear from them, share ideas with them, hold them accountable, work with them and remind them who it is they serve. Telephone town halls, social media posts, performing outside of locked federal buildings won’t cut it. Some are probably afraid to do this because they don’t have a solid plan for how to confront the most corrupt administration in American history. That’s understandable — this is an unprecedented time and they are clearly scrambling to figure out a strategy. But if that’s the case, they should then be open to hearing from their constituents who might have some of the answers and who are very willing to work with them in the fight now in front of us.
