@miguelito808 @Kratomlife420 Well it was a federal ban that came out of nowhere. We had one place to center focus on (DC). It’s a lot harder to organize when they start attacking multiple states and cities as once.

Kratom advocates are fighting for their right to use nature's herbs, challenging the DEA and political leaders. They call for unity across all backgrounds to regulate the regulators and bring the truth about kratom to light. The fight for this plant's protection is ongoing.

@EMPoisonPharmD Poison control center calls is not a good metric to judge if regulations are working. And I think you know that.

@Heaven807436108 @thekratomcowboy I’d tell them that selling familiar looking blue tablets and naming them after street drugs and handing out free samples so people get hooked is probably what caused the negative attention. They cannot be delusional enough to think that would have just floated under the radar..

@thekratomcowboy Many of them seem to believe that the problems started when the AKA began to push the idea that 7-OH is vastly different from and shouldn't be marketed as kratom.

The hypocrisy surrounding synthetic/semi-synthetic 7-hydroxymitragynine is becoming impossible to ignore. The same people now screaming for “common sense regulation” are the exact same people who ignored the existing federal regulatory framework from day one. Let’s be honest about what’s actually happened here: They did not follow the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. They did not follow DSHEA. They did not follow 21 CFR Part 111 dietary supplement cGMP requirements. They did not submit New Dietary Ingredient Notifications under 21 CFR 190.6. They pushed highly concentrated psychoactive alkaloid products into the marketplace first and started talking about “regulation” only after states, attorneys general, law enforcement, poison centers, and the media started paying attention. Now we’re supposed to believe these same operators suddenly care about consumer safety and “responsible regulation”? Come on. Natural kratom leaf and properly manufactured botanical extracts already exist within a federal regulatory framework. Companies like ours have spent years investing in FDA compliance systems, manufacturing controls, testing protocols, product liability coverage, NDIN strategy, and lawful operations under the dietary supplement framework. The synthetic/semi-synthetic 7-OH market chose to bypass all of that. They created this problem themselves. At some point, enough is enough. The industry needs to stop pretending these products are equivalent to natural kratom leaf. They are not. The DEA should finally step in and schedule synthetic and highly concentrated 7-hydroxymitragynine products appropriately before the entire kratom industry gets pulled further into the crossfire. The future of kratom depends on separating lawful botanical products from this reckless chemistry experiment masquerading as “innovation.” #Kratom #DSHEA #FDA #DietarySupplements #Compliance #DEA #21CFR111 #NDI #PublicSafety #ConsumerSafety #Botanicals #RegulatoryCompliance #KratomIndustry #NaturalProducts #7Hydroxymitragynine @JeffSmithMO

Banning kratom doesn’t make people safer. Regulation does. HART is fighting for science-based policy that protects consumers, not pushes them into the shadows. Read more reuters.com/press-releases…

@BurnCouch @Heaven807436108 @thekratomcowboy You do realize all these bigger Kratom companies could have made 7OH like a decade ago, right? They still could, right now, jump in and dominate that market with their vast connections and distribution networks and make a shit ton of money. Why do you think they never did that?

@Heaven807436108 @thekratomcowboy This dude is such a fraud, he literally only wants 7oh banned because it cuts into his company’s profits for their garbage mitragynine extract shots. Theres ZERO evidence 7 is any more dangerous than his trash shots. His CLEAR motive is PROFITS by CRUSHING COMPETITORS, not safety

@shdwstar @thekratomcowboy Wow you went from 20-30% to “not insignificant amount” real fast. What we’re comparing is <1mg of 7OH, in the context of 40+ alkaloids, that your body slowly made over 6 hours, to 20+mg taken all at once and without those pesky other alkaloids that create the ceiling effect.

Some of you either genuinely do not know how to read scientific literature, or you’re intentionally being dishonest. The published data on 7-hydroxymitragynine is not ambiguous. The paper literally discusses its significantly stronger μ-opioid receptor activity and potency compared to morphine in multiple experimental models. This is not “anti-kratom propaganda.” This is the actual pharmacology. Natural kratom leaf and highly concentrated/synthetic 7-OH are not the same thing, and pretending otherwise makes the entire industry look unserious. You cannot scream “trust the science” while simultaneously ignoring peer-reviewed data because it is politically inconvenient. The receptor pharmacology is the receptor pharmacology. Fucking Morons

@thekratomcowboy @shdwstar It’s from a study that measured plasma content. They neglect to mention that mitragynine has 12 other metabolites and is more protein bound and higher tissue distribution than 7OH. It’s cherry picked data out of context, with a goal to deceive. They don’t really believe it.

@shdwstar Most peer reviewed studies put the amount liver converts around 1 to 2%. I don’t know where people are getting the 20 to 30% number from. Regardless, one is a natural process the body does synergistically with the other alkaloids.

@shdwstar @thekratomcowboy I’m sorry but there is no way that you *actually* believe a 5g dose of kratom has….checks notes… 75mg of 7OH. You don’t believe that. Btw I’m not saying you’re ignorant here. I’m saying you’re lying. It’s honestly insulting the intelligence of anyone who reads it.

@thekratomcowboy Considering ~20-30% of mitragynine is converted into 7OH by the liver don't you think you're shooting yourself in the leg? Figure a gram of kratom... that's about a 15MG dose of 7OH.

@thekratomcowboy Calling them morons is going them too much ethical credit. They’re not morons. They’re just purposely cherry picking and twisting data to support their agenda, even though they know it’s dishonest and disingenuous.

Ever heard of Kratom? Well, I’m proposing to ban it once and for all in New York, on a state level. In its synthetic form, this drug can be 30x as potent as morphine, delivering an opioid high, and its short reign on the shelves of smoke shops and gas stations has led to deaths and countless addictions. How is a drug like this sold at convenience stores? I’m working tirelessly here in Albany to put an end to Gas Station Heroin.

@ShriekingNoises @BlumencranzJake His post wording in the beginning is incorrect. This bill only bans semi-synthetics and it protects natural kratom. Watch the video. But yes he needs to delete this and make a new post clarifying he's not trying to ban kratom.

@BeeHumb69756502 @BlumencranzJake That’s what this bill does. It’s basically a KCPA. This is just a very misleading post. The video makes it clear but most people don’t watch the video. He needs to delete this and remake the post completely

@BlumencranzJake Please follow the Kratom Consumer Protection Act .Ban synthetics( 7oh) that are too strong. Natural whole leaf powder is harmless when used by responsible adults, people rely on it for pain relief. Please dont ban whole leaf, please follow the KCPA guidlines.

@Heaven807436108 @BlumencranzJake Watch the video. Yes the still shot and post wording are deceiving. But in the video it points to that bag as something to protect vs synthetics. Also look up the bill. It’s basically a KCPA. This guy just sucks at being clear but the bill doesn’t ban Kratom.

@drmicheleross @BlumencranzJake That’s true, but context matters. The tiny amount in leaves (0.003%) has zero impact. It’s basically not there. And the small amount created in our bodies is done in the context of the other 40+ alkaloids, and our bodies slowly regulate that process. IV drip vs firehose.

@BlumencranzJake I think it would be a huge mistake to ban kratom & create a dangerous black market where one doesn’t exist. I know many in your state who enjoy kratom responsibly & they would be hurt by a ban. Please hear out your constituents before pursuing this.

Even concentrated 7-OH isn't 30x as potent as morphine. It binds the mu opioid receptor 14-22x WEAKER than morphine, and is a g-protein biased PARTIAL mu opioid agonist. It provides pain relief, not euphoria. Regulate, don't ban kratom. Keep it out of gas stations. Make sure labels are truthful. Put caps on dosage. States that have banned kratom have had drug overdoses increase. Because the pain patients that use kratom will go to the illicit market, where they have to deal with a fentanyl-adulterated supply of pain pills.

One of the strangest interactions I've had online. She claimed to not necessarily want kratom to be banned, only regulated- exact same as me. I agreed that the industry needs more oversight, that there are bad actors, everything. Yet she kept screaming at me like this. Lol.
