@kratomfactcheck @Heaven807436108 Whataboutism is when you reference something totally irrelevant and unrelated, not when you make a direct, important comparison that makes total sense and proves the original point to be wrong due to its inherent double standard and bias.

@Heaven807436108 No, it is like me saying you can't talk about kratom until cannabis is legal in 50 states & 30K people in jail for pot are freed because it is a way bigger issue. "What about Tylenol?" and similar is just to avoid discussing kratom's harms head on.

@dudeonthebay @highfreqhertz @GrantSmithEllis @POTUS I took natural Kratom for years and VERY small doses, a couple times a day and the side effects absolutely DESTROYED my body and mind. I looked and felt like shit and i couldn’t even think straight (brain fog). I’ve taken 7oh for 2 years and I have zero side effects whatsoever.

@highfreqhertz @GrantSmithEllis @POTUS That’s a helluva copy and paste. Simple point: natty works fine if dosed properly. Synth 7OH is a different animal and is the singular reason natty is being demonized. Get rid of it, or at least regulate tf out of it before this administration changes its mind about natty.

NEW: President Donald Trump (@POTUS) announced on Monday, from the Oval office, that his administration will be moving to federally protect “natural” 7-OH. Natural 7-OH (7-hydroxymitragynine) is a potent alkaloid found in trace amounts within the leaves of the kratom plant (Mitragyna speciosa). It is favored by many advocates for treatment of opiate use disorder, which President Trump alluded to his his remarks to the press just moments ago. “We are looking very seriously at natural 7-OH, and getting that approved. [My administration will take a look at that very strongly. We’re looking to see if we can do something there, a lot of people are asking for it,” said President Trump.

@LittleNickyBBQ @JMay1771 I’m guessing the product you ordered is SR-17018, correct ? I’ve heard ONLY rave reviews about its effectiveness in eliminating WD. Only thing is, it IS technically a research chemical so we don’t know if it has health effects in the long term, so just exercise caution.

Well I think there should be verification of id because that’s hard to fake number one. Number 2 u use a CC or some form of online payment these 2 things make it very hard for some who isn’t of age access these products. Also the products are there for those who are looking for them. So that will put an end to the “I walked into the smoke shop and the guy at the counter gave me a free sample told me it was for energy and that it was Kratom” story. And basically the only ppl who will encounter 7oh are those who are looking for it. The industry and community is big enough to where there doesn’t need to be excessive marketing or any at all. These restrictions will ensure 7oh is staying out of the spotlight and anyone who has a bad experience well it’s on them. They went looking for it they were given the warnings of over using, dependancy and abuse so they can’t go crying to the internet about their withdrawals. Also these smaller vendors are coming up w products that get you off of 7 w no withdrawal. In fact mine is being delivered today. I’m gna take a 2-3 week break. I could donut w out it and be ok but I want to try this new product claims no withdrawal. I’ll let you know how it works out. These smaller vendors actually care about their community

@CorralChad @HART7OH I’ve done the math. To get 1 kg of natural 7 hydroxy it would take somewhere around 30,000 kg of natural plant material. After solvent and labor cost you’d be about $3 million per kilogram.

We are encouraged to hear the President suggest that his administration is exploring legal pathways for natural 7-OH. Millions of Americans rely on the naturally occurring alkaloid 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) found in the kratom plant for pain management, recovery, and wellness. State legislatures should also move away from bans and criminalization, and instead advance thoughtful regulatory frameworks that protect safe, legal adult access to natural 7-OH products. Consumers want responsible regulation and access to safe products for adults.

@Nedalien17 @JMay1771 @Heaven807436108 No one hates those greedy bastard companies more than the people who use 7oh responsibly, in exactly the same way others use Kratom, and don’t want to become criminals with a 7 ban. Constantly upsizing the individual tablets rather than just selling more tablets at once sucks.

I feel so incredibly torn on the 7-oh/Kratom thing. On one hand, I am pretty strongly anti-prohibition. On the other hand, it feels like the only way to save the life-saving plant that changed my own life for the better, is to differentiate it from 7-oh. Idk what to think.

@Heaven807436108 @thekratomcowboy OPMS started the PRICE-GOUGING TREND for their 7oh/HIGH MIT CAPSULES. TO THIS DAY, 1x OPMS SHOT= $15-20, and a pack of TWO of their STRONGEST SINGLE DOSE MIT CAPSULES =$30. OPMS SET EVERY SHADY TREND but can no longer SET PRICES for extracts. MONOPOLY=📉.Is PRICE-GOUGING ETHICAL?

The hypocrisy surrounding synthetic/semi-synthetic 7-hydroxymitragynine is becoming impossible to ignore. The same people now screaming for “common sense regulation” are the exact same people who ignored the existing federal regulatory framework from day one. Let’s be honest about what’s actually happened here: They did not follow the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. They did not follow DSHEA. They did not follow 21 CFR Part 111 dietary supplement cGMP requirements. They did not submit New Dietary Ingredient Notifications under 21 CFR 190.6. They pushed highly concentrated psychoactive alkaloid products into the marketplace first and started talking about “regulation” only after states, attorneys general, law enforcement, poison centers, and the media started paying attention. Now we’re supposed to believe these same operators suddenly care about consumer safety and “responsible regulation”? Come on. Natural kratom leaf and properly manufactured botanical extracts already exist within a federal regulatory framework. Companies like ours have spent years investing in FDA compliance systems, manufacturing controls, testing protocols, product liability coverage, NDIN strategy, and lawful operations under the dietary supplement framework. The synthetic/semi-synthetic 7-OH market chose to bypass all of that. They created this problem themselves. At some point, enough is enough. The industry needs to stop pretending these products are equivalent to natural kratom leaf. They are not. The DEA should finally step in and schedule synthetic and highly concentrated 7-hydroxymitragynine products appropriately before the entire kratom industry gets pulled further into the crossfire. The future of kratom depends on separating lawful botanical products from this reckless chemistry experiment masquerading as “innovation.” #Kratom #DSHEA #FDA #DietarySupplements #Compliance #DEA #21CFR111 #NDI #PublicSafety #ConsumerSafety #Botanicals #RegulatoryCompliance #KratomIndustry #NaturalProducts #7Hydroxymitragynine @JeffSmithMO

@Heaven807436108 @thekratomcowboy You HONESTLY BELIEVE the company that FIRST PIONEERED putting 7oh IN STORES *and* MARKETING IT DIRECTLY TO DRUG ABUSERS with DRUG-REFERENCES in the PRODUCT NAMES/PACKAGING, all of a sudden wants to BAN something THEY INTRODUCED TO THE MARKET for “ETHICAL REASONS” or “SAFETY”? BS!

@Heaven807436108 @thekratomcowboy One of the main companies wanting the 7oh ban is OPMS, who LITERALLY STARTED ALL OF THIS by putting the VERY FIRST 7OH PRODUCT IN STORES. Their OG shots had roughly 10mg of 7, PLUS they started the trend of REFERENCING DRUGS IN PRODUCT NAMES as well. OPMS = CLEAR play on words…

@Heaven807436108 @thekratomcowboy It is NOT mostly the *LEAF* companies leading the ban 7oh charge, it is the companies who primarily profit from MIT SHOTS, FEEL FREE SHOTS (kava+kratom), + MIT EXTRACT CAPSULES. Like 3 companies basically HAD A MONOPOLY ON ALL KRATOM EXTRACTS. They ABSOLUTELY lost $ to 7.

@Heaven807436108 @thekratomcowboy “Financial obligation,” YES. “Ethical responsibility,” MY ASS. 7oh has NEVER caused a death without drugs/alcohol involved. There LITERALLY ARE DOCUMENTED DEATHS from “mitragynine toxicity” ALONE. If even JUST ONE of those DEATHS is legit, then 7oh is LITERALLY SAFER THAN KRATOM

@thekratomcowboy @Heaven807436108 Your MIT shots ARE a drug. They’re strong too. You’re drawing an imaginary line in the sand , and it makes literally no sense scientifically OR from a safety standpoint (ZERO 7oh deaths w/out other substances involved), so the only conclusion left to draw is crushing competition.

@jtpleeze @mwolf278 @HaddowMac Everyone’s body chemistry reacts differently to different substances, but to me, 7oh just feels like Kratom without the nausea, “woozy” feeling, and sleepiness. Kratom also gives a “numbed”, “dulled” feeling of my senses, emotions, and mental clarity (brain fog), 7oh doesn’t.

@mwolf278 @HaddowMac what? kratom compared to 7OH isn't even comparable in how it makes you feel. even if you take a large dose of Kratom, you'll never feel the same as a 7oh dose.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The American Kratom Association (AKA) today issued a nationwide Consumer Alert warning consumers, regulators, and public health officials about the growing proliferation of dangerous products containing 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) and other synthetic or semi-synthetic substances that are being falsely marketed as “kratom.” According to the AKA, these products bear little resemblance to natural kratom leaf and instead represent a new category of chemically manipulated, highly concentrated compounds that pose significantly greater safety risks to consumers. “Consumers deserve to know the truth,” said Mac Haddow, AKA Senior Fellow on Public Policy. “These 7-OH products are not traditional kratom. They are being engineered, concentrated, and marketed in ways that create risks not associated with natural kratom leaf.” A Stark Scientific and Regulatory Distinction Natural kratom leaf contains only trace levels of 7-OH formed through natural post-harvest oxidation. In contrast, the products highlighted in this Consumer Alert often contain artificially elevated concentrations of 7-OH, frequently delivered through high-risk formats that include sublingual strips and dissolvable tablets designed for rapid absorption into the bloodstream and targeting of mu-opioid receptors. These delivery systems are designed to bypass normal metabolic processes, rapidly delivering potent concentrations into the bloodstream. Federal health officials have already drawn a clear line between these substances. During a July 29, 2025, joint announcement, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) leadership emphasized that chemically manipulated 7-OH products are fundamentally different from natural kratom leaf. This distinction was described by FDA Commissioner Marty Makary as “like night and day.” Consumer Deception and Public Health Risk The AKA warns that many 7-OH products are mislabeled as “kratom,” misleading consumers, packaged in child-appealing forms, marketed with unsubstantiated claims for pain relief or mood enhancement, and sold without adequate safety data or labeling standards. This has created widespread confusion among consumers and policymakers, with some legislative efforts mistakenly targeting natural kratom products rather than the actual source of emerging risk: synthetic or chemically enhanced 7-OH compounds. “This is not a debate about kratom,” Haddow added. “This is about stopping a new class of unregulated, opioid-like substances from being disguised as something they are not.” Call for Targeted Regulatory Action The AKA is calling on federal and state regulators to take immediate, targeted action to protect consumers: -Ban or schedule chemically manipulated 7-OH and its analogs -Prohibit the marketing of 7-OH products as “kratom” -Enforce strict labeling and safety standards -Preserve legal access to natural kratom leaf products under Kratom Consumer Protection Acts (KCPA) Protecting Consumers Through Truth and Transparency The Consumer Alert is part of a broader initiative to combat what the AKA describes as a growing wave of misinformation and deceptive marketing practices that threaten both consumer safety and informed policymaking. “If regulators fail to act with precision, they risk banning safe products while leaving truly dangerous ones in the marketplace,” Haddow said. “We must get this right.” About American Kratom Association (AKA) American Kratom Association (AKA) is a consumer-based, nonprofit organization, focused on furthering the latest science as guidance for kratom public policy. AKA works to give a voice to millions of Americans by fighting to protect their rights to access safe and natural kratom. @SearsGutters @sarahkayhenson @HaddowMac Got more bad news (as usual). The AKA THEMSELVES said: “The DEA scheduling 7oh is INEVITABLE + VERY SOON.” I SLIGHTLY paraphrased them, but thats the gist of what was said. They predicted 2 weeks, A MONTH AGO. It IS happening: WE WILL BECOME CRIMINALS, likely before May ends.
