Yeah I read sub 6 after replying. I was saying I’d focus more on cardio than heavy lifts in general. They’re both good and necessary, but I’m not sure anyone needs to run sub 6 or push 275 with any regularity. I lifted heavy like that in my 20s and 30s, but I’ve backed off weight and focus more on effective lifting than the weight I’m using.

Why do you think a sub 6 is the better benchmark? A bigger bench isnt about pushing hard tho. It makes lifting and carrying everything, like your kids, easier.
