Yet multiculturalism also encourages to celebrate their own culture and prioritise it above any kind of English one. So we end up with the celebration of England's first ever Muslim player - hooray - only for him to refuse to sing (or even pretend to sing) the country's national anthem. Which is obviously his individual choice. But it's worth asking what exactly we're celebrating when we celebrate Diop Tehuti Djed-Hotep Spence as English. Am I being unfair? Were other (not Muslim) players not singing it either? Perhaps he just finds singing embarrassing?

He's such a good manager who very unfairly got a mixed rep at Spurs. People seemed to brush him as part of that Levy cult that got managers sacked which never made sense to me. The way he had us playing as a 30 year old interim was incredible, I knew he'd be a top manager & West Brom is only the start. He'll take them back to the premier league in the next 2 years no doubt, maybe even this season. And depending on how they do back in the prem, I think Ryan Mason could be Spurs manager a lot sooner than people think. But I hope we have many years of Thomas Frank beforehand.
