Feels almost certain that Leafs ownership will let the Matthews kneeing incident completely distract them from what’s actually wrong with this team and we’ll spend another half decade in misery after they continue to gut the roster of actual skilled hockey players

Should reiterate that I would give Maccelli his QO if the choose was mine to make. Plenty of other deadweight to clear out to make cap room He has basically returned to the form he showed two years ago in Arizona, which is what the hope was coming into the season

I think Maccelli is a good piece on the offensive side of the puck. The QO is definitely a bit rich for what he is, but I’d take Maccelli at $4.1M any day over Domi at his number

@MurphytheCalico @CorsiHL It means in the long run they're going to have trouble selling retail tickets at full cob, which is probably true to an extent. Though people still won't give up their season tickets and those make up most of the bowl, so we'll see

McMann in a weird way is a litmus test for this entire Leafs management group. Trade him and there is a hope they get on the right track. Extend him at something in the neighborhood of this (or anything, really), and we are absolutely cooked for years

While the #leafs continue to explore the trade market on Bobby McMann, they haven't ruled out signing him to a new contract. Yesterday's Kiefer Sherwood extension (5x$5.75M AAV) is a favorable comparable for McMann, although he likely has to come in under $5M to stay in Toronto.

Nyquist, B.Tanev and Beauvillier all were traded for 2nd rounders at last year’s deadline. Pretty certain that Bobby McMann at $1.35M AAV is getting you a 1st rounder + at the deadline this year. He’s a must-trade for the Leafs
