@MarkNJohnson There’s a good mix, trad pubs, massive brewery tap, micros, karaoke pubs plus the footy ground has a cask beer on. Good range of beers as well, around 50 cask & 25 keg probably. Sadly we’ve just lost the absolute gem that was @CortoClitheroe though 😩

@stuchastosh @philmellows @amelie___mj @morningad It's a distinct possibility. We were, however, the most consistently highly rated pub/bar in the town, and many pubs and bars in the area have told us they too are feeling the pressure. We won't be the first to go if things don't change. It's sad but true.

@philmellows @CortoClitheroe @amelie___mj @morningad To be fair, and I like Corto as a place but didn’t use it much, other bars opened around the same time are doing fine, Beer Shack for example. Maybe Corto is just too niche for Clitheroe whereas I’m sure it would have been a roaring success in the like of Chorlton’s Beech Rd. 1/2

We are heading to @NightingaleCidr, the birthplace and wellspring of Corto's house cider Wild Disco, in just over a week to help with the harvest. Nice how things come full circle!
