Improve Tier 1 Mental Health Support! Student-to-counselor ratios right now are 400:1 or worse. This has been normalized & is unacceptable. The resources are there & I’m calling on states to invest in reducing these ratios because counselors & students deserve better.

Reading edweek.org/leadership/5-t… I couldn't help but reflect on #5. We need more evidence-based interventions in elementary supporting help-seeking behaviors related to suicide, depression & anxiety. Prevention efforts & skill acquisition must be implemented earlier!
