@chonkrider I've been a broken record in etf chat the last cycle, just becuase i find it so jarring that when a most basic feature in your shiny new inventory won't work, and will zap all your items .... well, the game is basicly not enjoyable. It's like having an egg without a pokemon

My hopes for a less broken patch are fading fast. 😂

@chonkrider @RobertsSpaceInd it can't release with such a broken inventory, I guess among everything else. I've seen other main issues pop up again that look like a regression.

Based on the current PTU testing, I think Alpha 4.9 will be delayed now that it's in the RC1 phase. If it doesn't release this week, my guess is July 25. Hopefully, most of the major bugs are fixed and we get a less broken patch. 🤞 #StarCitizen

They seem a bit random, don't they ? In different games, they always come out as slightly different, in the newer games, they are a bit like flower people. So from what we know, what's the "pedigree" of different fairies: you have the wild fairies who just give their life force to link, the guardian fairies who are more persistent and have a task, guide the Kokiri and link .. Great fairies who are bound to a fountain and grant untold magic or other items or spell casts... and queen fairies.
Since Nintendo wanted the guardian fairy to have a more relatable form, it could be reimagined. In the remake, near the end, Navi could maybe reveal that she feels drawn to leave because she is entering the next stage. Maybe that can be explained by the fact that she's been helping him out for so long, that the goddesses bestow on her the reward of evolution. And maybe, when she leaves, we can have this idea that in another game, we'll meet her as a great fairy.
At least that's the thought I have.

Amazing thoughts there it would be so cool for them to expand on that lore a bit, fairies in the series are as mysterious as anything else… I kinda see a possibility a Zelda game starring Zelda who actually goes around finding out more details about these characters rather than defeating enemies

Navi turning green over nothing in the original Ocarina of Time was one of its smartest, quietest systems.
To this day, many people seem unaware of why she would do it and many ignore how it could work in the remake.
In the N64 version, Navi would occasionally fly off and change colour over spots that looked empty.
If you followed her and played the right song, a secret or big fairy appeared.
It was the game’s way of rewarding observation without ever holding your hand.
The Nintendo Switch 2 remake should take that hint system and expand it.
Different ocarina songs could trigger different kinds of environmental responses across Hyrule.
The Song of Storms in certain locations might temporarily alter water flow or reveal hidden routes.
The Sun’s Song near specific ruins could make time of day elements interact with mechanisms that were always there but never reactive.
It would make the world become more responsive to the music and instrument you've carried from the start.
The original’s soul lived in that quiet trust, it assumed you would experiment and notice small things. Building on Navi’s green light this way would keep that spirit while giving players more to discover in a modern version.
A safe visual pass would look impressive on Switch 2.
But it would miss the deeper opportunity to make Hyrule feel like it still has layers worth hunting for.
Would you want an Ocarina of Time remake to expand those understated observation mechanics and make them more expressive with the ocarina?
Or do you think any change to the original’s subtle systems would lose more than it gains?

@RoisinMichaux you can show this to them if you're still in albania :)

Some want everything to stay the same, but that's simply not possible. The N64 was great for its time, but no matter how captivating the story was, it required a lot of compromises and reduced space for gameplay. Due to the scale and boxy landscapes and environments, gameplay spaces had to be made in such a way that they couldn't include all their ideas.
Now, they can widen the landscape and enter much more fluid transitions from one space to another. Maybe for some, it'll be intimidating how drastically some landscapes might change.

Not so much burnt out in a sense that I'm tired of the game, because I still believe that it'll land well if they can get past the constant restructuring of back ends and feature additions that make everything else regress.
Right now I'm a bit tired of the many bugs in crucial systems of the game that cause us to lose half of our inventory and commodities when we interact with them. I lose motivation to play because whenever I spend time mining for resources, finding an exotic item, there is a large chance that everything will vanish when I'm using the freight elevator or storage containers.
