Unbelievable venue. Watched ‘Carmen’ in there as the mist came over the Ionian Sea from Mount Etna. Easily one of my top 5 moments from any holiday we’ve ever been on.🍷

In Sicily, a classical music concert was held at the ancient Taormina Theatre, but the real star of the show was Mount Etna erupting. A truly magical night!

Hillsborough Law Now update -
Following a meeting with some of our directors on 6th march, the Attorney General and Ministers pledged to contact @NowHillsborough by 20th March, with a resolution to the amendment relating to Intelligence Services.
That deadline was not met, and we are now being told that the government needs just a few more days.
This week, we also wrote to the Home Secretary to ask her to meet with us, given that she is the cabinet minister responsible for MI5!
However, she has refused to meet us on the basis that the Attorney General has the issue in hand.
But he does not!
This is what we are up against.
The motto appears to be
"Tell them what they want to hear, and it will keep them quiet a little bit longer."
Well, we won't stay silent.
Silence did not expose the cover-up of the Hillsborough Disaster.
Hillsborough Survivors were not vindicated because they stayed silent.
Silence didn't expose the cover up of Labrats, Infected blood, Post Office Scandal, the Birmingham pub Bombings, the Manchester Arena terror attack, the Covid Pandemic, the Primdos medication, or the cover up of the death of little Zane Gbangbola.
Silence did not expose the lies told by South Yorkshire Police and the contempt they had for the members of Orgreave.
Silence didn't expose the rape and sexual exploitation of the young girls who were victims to Grooming Gangs.
And even though Nottingham Police Force tried their hardest to keep the press silent, it was the voices of others that exposed their disgraceful failures.
There have been times when our voices are all that we had.
Let's not forget that this Bill was pledged by 15th April 2025, and we are now approaching 15th April 2026!
The Public Accountability Bill aims to give a legal duty of candour to ALL public servants and officials. That has absolutely nothing to do with National Security, and let us be very clear, we would never call for a law that compromised the safety of the people of this country.
Quite the contrary.
We want to protect the people of our country, and we want the Hillsborough Law that was pledged in this Labour Partys Manifesto, because THEIR Silence is DEAFENING and we will not be treated like this any more.
Charlotte Hennessy, Margaret Aspinall, Sue Roberts, and Steve Kelly.
HILLSBOROUGH LAW NOW.

RETWEET. I wrote a play about the great Northern cities of Liverpool & Manchester, how the football rivalry often gets in the way of the NorthWest becoming a joint powerhouse. Sounds heavy, nah it's a comedy with music. They loved it, so it's back.

@TheAthleticFC @OliverKay Change the Iran Teams venues to Canada or Mexico , even a genius like Trump could come up with that idea
English

When FIFA leader Gianni Infantino gifted Donald Trump a specially created Peace Prize at December's World Cup draw, he did not expect to see, three months later, the U.S. president warning a World Cup team of fatal consequences if it dared to venture to the tournament this summer.
This, however, was the predicament facing FIFA's president on Thursday morning, as Trump posted on Truth Social to say it would not be “appropriate” for Iran to play at the World Cup “for their own lives and safety.”
This, to be clear, appeared to be the most important political figure of a World Cup host nation implying a threat to the security of a soccer team, which, for FIFA, surely constitutes diplomatic armageddon.
For Gianni Infantino, it poses obvious questions, most notably about how, or if, Iran can play in this summer's tournament. More broadly, it calls into question Infantino's entire judgment and strategy in handling Trump, writes @AdamCrafton_ ⬇️

We wrote a show to tell the Stories, our stories - Liverpudlian stories. We are the people of Liverpool, along with our "Supporters All Over the World". We are this football club, all its traditions songs and its X-Factor dynamite, created by our people. The man that led us into Europe and made this football club a force in Europe was one Mr Bill Shankly. A Scotsman with fire in his blood, who saw that the Scousers - and that is Liverpool and Everton, had the same fire, and similar politics to him. Without him, Liverpool were going nowhere. "He is US, and WE are HIM!!!
Bob Paisley carried on that tradition, as did Jurgen Klopp. No amount of cheating, diving, To suit TV-Kick-offs, VAR led football, can ever take away that fact that we have more songs and European trophies than anyone in this country and that is our legacy, our history. We're not posing or swanking about it - we are having a night to sing and dance about it - especially while "ALL" the footy is pretty shit in the modern day Premier League this season.
This show will celebrate "Liverpool in Europe" and the historical fact of Liverpool's amazing trophy haul in Europe. As told by Fans & Players. And though this season may be poor in performance and comparison to others we've had, it won't stop us singing, dancing and having a ball at The Philharmonic on Friday the 27th of March. It's almost sold out, so if you haven't got a ticket, nab one. Its one of those boring as f*%& international weekends that the governing bodies like to impose on all proper football supporters. #LFC #YNWA #Liverpool #theatre #Fans #supporters 🏆❤️🏆🏆🏆🏆❤️🏆
Anyway... Here's the link, get there and have a Belter of a night out, have a ball, because I know we will. liverpoolphil.com/whats-on/all-s…

WALKFLORRIE TO MAKE TRIP FROM DINGLE (Liverpool) TO DINGLE (County Kerry) ☘️
@walkflorrie have confirmed a community trip to ireland, travelling from (Liverpool) to Dingle (County Kerry) with a 2-night stay in Galway.
The Journey is more than a trip abroad. It is being made in memory of Walk Florrie’s fallen brothers, (Ian, John, Alan, Michael, Paul) whose lives and friendships have helped shape the groups values of togetherness, openness and mutual brotherhood.
During the trip, members will stay in Galway before travelling on to Dingle, where they will part in a wellbeing walk, reflection and meeting with a local community group. A key aim of the visit is to build lasting links between our 2 amazing communities.
Tony Caveney, founder of Walk Florrie, said; “This trip means a great deal to all of us at the Florrie. We’re carrying the memory of our fallen brothers with us every step of the way. Going from Dingle to Dingle was a pipe dream myself and Ian Jones would always talk about on the walks, sadly Ian lost his short battle with cancer in July 2025, so we thought it only fitting to honour his memory by fulling the journey on his anniversary, while also setting up links around the 2 dingle areas. The journey will hopefully symbolise connection, friendship and more importantly the power of community”
Walk Florrie hopes the trip will not only honour those friends we’ve lost but also create new friendships and conversations long after the group return #NeverAlone 💚💛

By the way did I mention that Mandelson's company
Global Counsel lobbies govt on behalf of the water industry.
Think about it, WCs using bill payers money to pay Mandelson to lobby govt acting not in customers best interests but purely and solely the interest of shareholders.
I'll just leave that thought there shall I.

Love this picture. Means so much to me. Four years ago, @WalkFlorrie embarked on its very first well-being walk, stepping into the unknown with no clear idea of what the future would hold. What began as a simple initiative to encourage men to walk and talk has since evolved into a vital community-driven movement.
Over the years, @WalkFlorrie has grown stronger, not only in numbers but in its impact. From those early steps, the group has developed into a comprehensive support network, offering far more than just walking. Today, Walkflorrie provides counseling services, helping men navigate their mental health challenges in a safe and supportive environment. The social aspect of the group has flourished, creating a sense of belonging and camaraderie that many had been missing.
Beyond emotional support, @walkflorrie has expanded its reach into welfare assistance, ensuring that members have access to the resources they need, whether that be financial advice, housing support, or simply a listening ear. Furthermore, the group now helps individuals find pathways into employment, connecting them with opportunities and guidance to rebuild their confidence and future prospects.
What started as a walk has become a lifeline, proving that with determination, community spirit, and a willingness to grow, positive change is not only possible but inevitable #MoreThanAWalk #NeverAlone ❤️💙
