Right-winger. Be brave and say what you actually mean with precision. Language warps reality. Sometimes I comment about games or MMA to clean up my algorithm

This is a kindergarteners understanding of government and economics. Also why do all of this with new territory full of foreign citizens? Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio need this treatment and they are full of actual citizens who have been suffering for a long time. Why dont we spend the 5 trillion on them if we're gonna do the whole economic savior government thing?

The next Louisiana Purchase? Here’s an idea: the United States acquires the Baja California Peninsula from Mexico for $1 to $5 trillion. Every Mexican citizen living in Baja receives dual U.S.-Mexico citizenship, plus a $50,000 investment account. Then America gets to work: world-class infrastructure, deep-water ports, desalination, nuclear energy, housing, universities, and industry. Tijuana and Mexicali could become major reindustrialization zones. In return, the United States gains nearly 1,800 miles of some of the most spectacular coastline on Earth and the chance to build the great new economic region. Is this a crazy idea? Of course. But so was the Louisiana Purchase in 1803.

Hey, @cenkuygur: right before the 2024 election, @StephenM could not have possibly been clearer with you, as he said. Was there something you failed to understand?

I often criticized Lindsey Graham. But this weekend, I learned his full story: - Orphaned young, he adopted & raised his little sister instead of letting her go into the system. - Grew up dirt poor, racking balls in his parents’ pool hall. - In search of opportunity, he joined the Air Force. Served 33 years. Retired a Colonel. - Then spent decades in Congress, earning respect across the aisle. - Bashed Trump hard in ~2016, then respected the will of the voters, and grew to become a loyal ally. - Humble. Devoted to his constituents. - Driven by patriotism (even when misguided). Never in it for the money. Could've cashed in any time like most of his colleagues. - That Disney trip everyone mocked? Just a good uncle taking his beloved nieces. He smiled through (and ignored) the hate to protect his family. RIP to a self-made American original.

The assumption that they could fix it is complete nonsense. Present any valid plan for how someone with $100 billion dollars could actually do this, then show that it would be a long term fix that could endure human nature and then contend with the fact that these billionaires do not have billions in cash they have billions in nebulous equity/asset values that allow them to take loans which have to be paid back with profits. You can't do any of this, because this claim is just a left wing myth and the purest form of politics by wish. Just like when warhawks say "this time we'll go back in with the will to win and end it for good" then continue losing an endless war

It's absolutely true that if Dems had appointed the highest-ever ranking openly gay man to the Cabinet, he'd be endlessly celebrate, but since it's Trump with Bessent, it's ignored (Bush 43 appointed the first-ever black woman as Secretary of State). But it's also true from the other side: Bessent isn't just gay but married to a man, with whom he has two children obtained through paid surrogate. He brought them all every day to his Senate confirmation hearing. Those usually enraged by this said nothing and still say nothing.🤷‍♂️
Dr Charlie Ward@DrcharlieWardQ

BREAKING 🚨: “You are the highest ranking gay public policy officeholder... That hasn’t been the top line of your resume.” SecScottBessent: “I go to the office every day knowing that I was chosen on merit.” God bless Scott Bessent!

Let me get this straight: Ro Khanna was taking a lot of heat at home because he was propping up a Nazi-sympathizing rapist (Graham Platner). So in order to take the heat off of the fact that he had propped up a Nazi rapist, he flew to Israel to fabricate a diplomatic incident with an ally on behalf of a different group of Nazi-sympathizing rapists (Arab-Islamic supremacists). And all of this could have been avoided if he had simply coordinated his visit with Israeli authorities instead of having a tour guide sneak him into a military-protected zone. Do I have that right?

#ufc whoever was reffing that riley fight just did a horrible job. Stepped in too close after the knock down and almost tripped over the fights, constantly in the way, and then a bad stoppage. Retire that man

Who would have ever guessed that one of the nation's most bloodthirsty neocons -- who wrote George W. Bush's speeches that lied the country into Iraq -- would join the Dem Party and then use his popularity among liberals to demand that only pro-Israel candidates be permitted?🇮🇱

If you're an ex-Platnerite now sadder but wiser, there's still time to stop the "Gaza First" socialists from giving away the Michigan Senate seat for factional reasons the way they tried (and likely succeeded in) giving away the Maine seat.

@ryangrim has done nothing wrong by adding details omitted by the intial reporting. It cannot be said enough that omitting details like this is what sunk the me too movement and gave people like me an issue with ever trusting these stories again. They always leave important details out and harm the credibility of women everywhere. The credibility of women accusing someone of SA should be protected at all costs yet it constantly gets devalued for political objectives.

If someone breaks into your house and rapes you, then passes out in your bed and you get in bed with them and sleep it off, you just dont have a credible allegation anymore. Women have tons of agency and seemingly unlimited social/political capital on this subject. Its not the 40s just call the police they will take care of you and take him to jail. Women have power and agency too we dont have to infantilize them like this. It isnt good for anyone
