Prof. @Josephineahiki1 reminded us that while the women’s rights movement has achieved hard-won milestones, it now faces new, more complex hurdles. Neoliberalism, donor demands, and state control have fractured the movement, shifting us from political struggle to professionalised survival. Invoking Prof. Tamale, she warned of a drift toward the “business of women’s rights” a terrain where competition eclipses solidarity, and activism risks losing its radical edge.
