So, my house is a shithole, and I don't have AC in the kitchen. In the summertime, it can hit 110F in there, before I ever turn on the stove. I'm old, and not in great health. Trying to cook in that kind of heat is hard for me. Being able to buy pre-cooked things during the summer is a godsend, because it means not running the risk of passing out and faceplanting in my kitchen. Just something to think about. That being said, banning junk food from EBT makes sense. Banning rotisserie chickens, hot soup, or pre-muffins is dumb.
