Tayeb was a Deliveroo rider. He was scammed after switching his insurance provider to a seemingly cheaper option. Instead of pausing his account while he dealt with the situation, Deliveroo fired him. Hard-working couriers like Tayeb need a fair process. #ClappedAndScrapped

4/ We applauded these workers through the first lockdown and now they are being chewed up and spat out by the multimillion pound companies they work for. We have seen how important these workers are and they deserve to be treated like heroes and not as disposable #FrontLineHeroes

3/ The ramifications of this lack of due process is huge with many workers facing destitution as a result. Having worked through the most adverse conditions they are left with no income to support their families and pay bills. Lives needlessly destroyed at the click of a button!

2/ Throughout the pandemic we have heard of countless workers being dismissed for things they haven't done or for v unclear reasons. They're stripped of their income, left facing destitution and given no chance to appeal. The majority of these are black, brown & migrant workers.
