A3: Lowering LDL-C has a big impact on reducing cardiovascular disease risk over the life course. For every 40 mg/dL reduction in LDL that is maintained for about 5 years, a person’s risk of heart disease or events falls by 20% #KnowFH

A5 Too many believe the fallacy that lowering plasma cholesterol too much impairs its delivery to tissues which require it for many reasons. The truth is all cells in all tissues (including the brain) synthesize all of the cholesterol they require in a multistep process do not depend on lipoprotein (LDL)-mediated delivery.
