@ValeEnding Appreciate your response to this research - suggest it is important to critique voluntary assisted dying (perhaps especially by those broadly in favour), not only to examine what particular legislation is for, but also to consider what it produces in effect.

Perhaps VAD Legislation should have been titled "Medical Assistance to the Already Dying Bill 2021" for clarification purposes (for those who oppose and who are 'confused' by exactly what the legislation is for) ...

An excellent contribution to the bioethics/social science research on assisted dying

@7Liberalism @JessYoungTweets It's interesting, @7Liberalism, but it isn't that big of an elephant. Patients applying for VAD do so mainly for loss of autonomy, less able to engage in enjoyable activities, and loss of dignity. The last 2 VADRB reports don't list symptoms as a common reason for applying.

Have observed patients also have misconceptions about VAD in ACD too- wonder if this exclusion needs to be more common knowledge.
