@WendyWings It's just the fatigue of it plaguing our lives on a daily. So it is easier to just refer to it as past tense. Also, not to sound uncompassionate but the numbers don't really suggest death is any higher that other pandemics, and there is a big focus on numbers.

@Brad_Kul I think it's a big deal in the first world in general. Convenience. The biggest issues for NZ is that delivery is not as common as it is everywhere else. Delivery has always been an option in Toronto, I think it made not being able to eat out/getting food bearable.
