Today I went into parliament to get set up so I can start the work of representing the residents of Queen’s Park and Maida Vale. The work starts now of making a difference for local residents and supporting the Labour government to make national change.

@LondonKirsty Profit. It’s been bad for years but when the Tories scrapped Sure Start funding which paid for state nurseries and children’s centres providing affordable childcare places they created this mess which is now at breaking point, no one can afford to work!

I don't understand the cost of sending a child/children to nursery in this country. It's extortionate. But why? Is it insurance or something that drives up the cost? Staff aren't paid amazing salaries, so it can't be that. What is it?

The curtain’s half closed but the window’s open & we feel the breeze & hear the birds Laura breathes in & breathes out. When the gap gets long I hold my breath but she’s as tenacious in death as she was in life, despite a week without food or water. We hold hands & she squeezes❤️
