Prehospital whole blood (PHWB):
• ↑ Hemodynamic stability on arrival
• ↓ 4-hr transfusion needs
• ↓ 24-hr mortality (OR 0.35)
• ↓ cardiac arrest (OR 0.24)
Resuscitation starts at the point of injury.
