@mossgatherer_ I was lucky to have 2 good epidurals & only had 1 iffy one but I needed it so it is what it is. But the unmedicated births were definitely better for me physically afterwards & hospitals definitely prefer women to be medicated so it’s def not hard to get one!

I’ve had 3 epidurals and 2 natural births and natural births are often safer & easier to recover from & less likely to cause tearing.
This isn’t an issue of valor or clout, it’s far more common to have epidurals than not, an estimated 75% of US births are medicated.

You win zero points for not getting an epidural. (Clearly, if you DON'T one that should be respected too.) Why is childbirth the only medical procedure where we valorize pain? It's so ludicrous and we need to stop perpetuating this nonsense.

@peachmilfshake @anniwithoutane @MegStEsprit @MrsBurens I agree. Adults have weird ideas about children’s autonomy. Do not touch or take kids stuff. They should be respected exactly as any adult guest would be treated in your home.

Gonna blow up Facebook fighting with parents in a group who lock up visiting kids’ phones because they don’t allow tech.
My kid has a phone so he can reach me if need be. Like, for example, if he’s stuck at some weirdo’s house who wants to over control other people’s kids 🙄

@MegStEsprit My kids’ rule is that they are not allowed to give anyone their phone. This is for exactly that reason! They are expected to follow house rules, but they have a canned response in case anyone ever asks. But also I’d never let my kids be at a house like this. Nope.

@MegStEsprit Some people have a theory that they aren’t actually that fragile & you’re covering a thing of beauty. My old phones say otherwise. I also think they aren’t the ones paying for them or if they are, they don’t have other real bills yet. 😂
